I'm impressed with all five of the main characters in this scene. Good comedy scene. Donnie Yen's career really launched with this. Wish we saw more of Shirley Tan (the woman Donnie Yen's character was challenging in the gym). She could've played some serious sidekick and villain roles, or did more physical comedy skits like this one. If nothing else, she's great in terms of comedic reactions.

Donnie Yen is one of those people you can't expect certain things unless you know him! He's good in comedy roles as well as serious and dramatic roles. And let's don't forget he's great in dancing and playing the piano as he showed in The return of Chen Zhen

@@triavang7946 no hitting your abs doesn’t make it stronger, it increases your pain tolerance and get you used to getting body shot. Muscles get stronger through microscopic tears when lifting weights

the bad guy is actually kenny perez, the first foreigner that ever trained with the beijing wushu team. its strange he didnt appear in more movies since hes a good looking westerner, a native english speaker and his skills were obviously top notch, usually much less was necessary in 80s hk to involve a foreign fighter in movies

The babe with the muscles is beautiful and totally fit which she also show's real girl power! That's more than i can say for most action women! Today in action movies are skinny actresses acting tough but look totally unconvincing! She should of being a big actress in hong kong but director's mostly ending having skinny actresses instead.
