This martial artist, sifu, actor, choreographer, director, producer, musician, singer, stuntman, model, husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, and good neighbor with friends around the world, has paid with a lifetime of blood, sweat, tears and fears for his coveted position. Donnie Yen does China proud !

Donnie Yen is no joke, this man has studied so many forms and he's applied them together in such an entertaining way that he's set the bar very high for martial arts cinema. In Flashpoint for example, he demonstrates kickboxing, jiu jitsu and parkour ALL in a single scene. Then you watch him perform Wing Chun in Ip Man, and he's able to become a completely different person (I seriously had to check whether it was the same actor). Even in movies where he wasn't the director, he's always had the mentality of a director so he always has perfection in mind, able to determine what movements look good on screen at certain camera angles. Just watch him in the Behind the Scenes of the knife vs baton fight scene of SPL.

He was already featured in mainstream American action movies. The most obvious one I can think of is "Blade" (1 or 2), starring Wesley Snipes. I'm pretty sure there are others though.

Don’t worry after ip man Donnie yen is big internationally now, he also played in Mulan and did a movie with vin diesel, He will be in John wick 4 with Keanu reeves which will come out in 2023, this is definitely a big Hollywood movie, can’t wait to see it

That moment when you realize Donnie is also the villain in Once upon a time in China 2. Lmao He would've fit perfectly in The Matrix as another AI program like Collin Chou(Seraph and the dude he's beating up in Flashpoint). Funfact: Jet Li was supposed to play as Seraph in the movie but had scheduling problems.
