the amount of swagger this guy has is frankly jawdropping. based on his persona, you'd think it'd be, like, jokey music or something, but no, it's actually incredibly good pop music with some of the coolest synth sounds out there.

Today I was feeling kind of depressed, while driving the car, when all of the sudden I start hearing a familiar voice in my favourite radio station in Portugal... I couldn't believe it! Just to be sure, I pressed the button on the radio to give me the information about the music that was playing (which I hadn't heard before from you), and guess what? Donny Freaking Benét... Guess what, that depressed state suddenly disappeared, while I was shouting "Hell yeah it's freaking Donny Benet in my radio station"... It's like witnessing the birth of the a legend! :D :D AHAHAHAHA

I've been listening to this track for 5 years and it obsesses me. Nostalgia for the 80s can be a little painful, but with you, it's quite the opposite. You are an incredible producer, bassist, frontman...And then this sax solo drives me crazy. I'm not sure David Sanborn could have done better. Long live you Donny.

I mostly focus on mathcore or chaotic hardcore when creating and listening to music, but this is my favourite new artist. This guy is an absolute unit, music wise and mixes the aesthetically pleasing vibes of the 80's in a really satisfying way, great sound, and great sense of humour. Awesome performer and musician!❤

this man is a genius - you have to seem him live. I was lucky enough to see him in Melbourne on the weekend. Virtuoso band backing his sublime Bass playing was a treat to behold. To be easily as handy on Bass as Bernard Edwards while singing completely blew me away. I'm new to his stuff and didn't really know what to expect with the show (perhaps him singing with a tape deck was one possibility I thought) but then to see that was incredible. Come back to Melbourne soon!!
