Shocking he declined so quickly after this season. I think he never got over being traded. He should've played for five more years after this

Andy Reid is like the best QB coach of all time he has an amazing system amazing playcaller/playbook.. Andy had Mike Vick playing at an MVP level out of jail turned him into a pocket pass first guy.. every QB plays great under Andy even when the backup QB comes in Jeff Garcia Kevin Kobb Kafka even when Mahomes goes down they play fine with Matt Moore.. checkdown Alex smith was horrible before Harbaugh then Andy.. and of course when you take the biggest arm ever and pair him with the greatest offensive QB coach ever you get Mahomes and Reid combo…

Every QB on Washington always sucks just like the Jets Browns Bucs Bears etc etc it’s always the same teams looking for a franchise QB picking at the top of the draft

He was declining since 2008. 09 Eagles were not a great team. They weren't terrible but they weren't contenders and McNabb was getting fat

@@kman215 I agree and I would argue he was past his prime after 2005. But he was still an above average QB and capable of starting for several more seasons imo. You're right it was because he got fat and lost the will to compete

Leonard Weaver was freakin awesome for the Eagles. It was a shame how he got injured his second year on the team. I don't think they've had a fullback on the roster since him.

I stopped being a Eagles fan when they gave up on Dawkins but the start of that was trading McNabb. He has trash truck juice for a majority of his career on offense and as soon as Andy finally drafts talent at all the skill positions he was gone. They were a Kevin Curtis drop away from the Superbowl to suddenly McNabb can't play?!???

I finally gave up on the eagles when they hired Chimp Kelley... the chiefs we know today were developed when Reid was in Philly and he had McNabb..

Solid team. McNabb finally had the weapons he needed and had tamed his injury issues. I think he declined so fast because of mental reasons. He should've been treated like royalty and wasn't. He was literally a pro bowler that year....

I disagree. There are many things that affect the way a player play. A big thing is change of scenery or being traded. It suck’s especially when you were the dace of the team and them you go to the redskins out of anybody ??? Lol i would be depressed!!!

@@KevinLopez-ny2gf agreed. He went to two bad situations after Philly. Same shit that happen to foles. The eagles made the playoffs just once in the 3 years after McNabb. They missed the playoffs once with a healthy McNabb. Had they never traded McNabb and still drafted foles I think history would be much different and the eagles would have more rings but we'll never know.

@@robertojefferson3428 OMG IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOREVER!!! Mcnaab was supposed live and die as a eagle. People really forget that mcnaab and andy reid where in the conference championship 5 out of 10 years and the years they weren’t in it , we lost the round b4. Giants got a ring during that decade bit the eagles were the best nfc east team in the decade period..it obviously carried over with andy reid in kansas city

Mcnabb was a good QB but loved the limelight .. if the eagles tried repairing the Owens and Mcnabb relationship.. they woulda still been contenders till 2010
