Here's a mailbag question: Why do people keep proposing a trade of Jarrett Allen with no relacement in mind? Who is going to back up Mobley comng off the bench, and whose going to replace Mobley when he inevitably gets hurt because he is only 215lbs? Who is Allen's replacement since people want him traded? Surely, no one would trade him without first securing his replacement. Thanks!

This guy... Jarrett Allen, you're great, best season of your career, you were almost an All-Star, you played 80 straight games, BUT I'm going to trade you to prioritize a 215lbs guy who misses 3 foot shots, isnt aggressive offensively, gets pushed around, and gets hurt every season... Where's the common sense at? WHOSE ALLEN'S REPLACEMENT for when Mobley goes down?!?!

A backup big would have to be a high priority for the Cavs regardless of a potential Jarrett trade. I'd say they look towards the realm of a Theis/Plumlee/Drummond, unless they want to make a splash and go after Hartenstein or Claxton.

@@adsand236 Imagine exchanging Allen's output for Plumlee. Where are you getting the missing 18 ppg 10 rbds and 2 blocks on +60% shooting? You're not getting it from those guys. This is why this trade Allen talk is crazy...

@@FloydPhillipsIIThat's not what would happen. The Cavs aren't planning on trading Allen but the trade talk isn't crazy, they'd gain talent at a different position and allow Mobley to play his natural position. His only 23, still a long career ahead. Regardless, it's all hypothetical and more than likely won't happen. They need to run it back.

It's a reason Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum didn't work together in Portland, but some people feel like Mitchell and Garland could be a champion contending backcourt

CJ and Dame didn't have Allen and Mobley this team is different and is a top defense. It's the offense we need to fix and we can be in conference finals to finals and win.

We beat the Celtics who went on to win the championship, we are a good team and if Mitchell and Allen don't get hurt who knows what happens.

Donovan list before he was traded to the Cavs and no news came out that he has changed his mind…. #HEAT & knicks Hopefully, he gets to the destination that he desired. We know how some GM’s can get butt hurt. I believe this is why maybe three weeks ago there was a report that if the Cavs had to trade Donovan, they would want a package like this …. & they mentioned the Miami HEAT players…etc

Mailbag question: If we have to trade 1 of our bigs then I would keep Allen and stop hoping Mobley becomes great. Would you make this trade? Mobley, Niang and Levert to Brooklyn for Mikael Bridges, Dorian Finney and Cam Thomas.

@@LockedOnCavs we are coming here for insight into these topics. The last 2 episodes were you telling us what we already know and have been thinking for years. We know that the skill sets of DM & DG overlap and that the skill sets of JA and EM overlap. We know that locking down DM is the most important thing for the Cavs. It’s obvious. Now how are you going to ADD to that conversation?
