Donovan was highly underrated. His album Fairytale from 1965 was incredible. It's like a best of. Colours, Summer Day Reflection Song, Candy Man, Jersey Thursday, Ballad Of a Crystal Man, Ballad Of Geraldine, Try for the Sun, Belated Forgiveness Plea, Circus Of Sour are just some from Fairytale, only his second album. He made Sunshine Superman album the following year and had a US number 1 with the title track. Songs like Catch The Wind, Colours, Turquoise, Universal Soldier, War Drags On, Why Do You Treat Me Like You Do, Tangerine Puppet, Ballad Of a Crystal Man, Summer Day Reflection Song, Candy Man, Jersey Thursday, Ballad Of Geraldine, Try for the Sun, Belated Forgiveness Plea, Sunshine Superman, The Trip, Season Of The Witch, Epistle to Dippy, There is a Mountain, Sand and Foam, Jennifer Juniper, Atlantis, Hurdy Gurdy Man, Love is Hot are just some of the amazing tracks he recorded in the 1960s. An unsung legend. ✌️

Appears to be alternately G and G7. I think he is in standard tuning .I t might work beter in open G (DGDGBD) This has some original (but weakish) lyrics. and yes he was copying Dylan.
