So you are thinking of buying a Toyota Premio? Think again, Toyotas especially Premio are now overpriced. With Ksh 2.1 you can get other alternatives that are more spacious and perform better.
If you however really love Toyotas get the Allion instead, has same features as the Premio and you save way less.

I also live in Sri Lanka. Owned both. I have driven even the 2016 and 2017 Premio. Both are awsm. But Premio seems more comfortable and smoother.

I had no slight idea that people don’t like the Allion. I have a 1.8L 2002 model which I have owned for 10 years now, changed the engine shell this year. I love my Allion. I noticed the newer engine I put has more power but slightly slower than the one I removed. Both 1ZZ engines. I would choose an Allion over a Premio still

Got a premio too but with the Same interior and engine. Same weak performance. Probably the other car keys will start the other. It's the same car under a different exterior. You hate on the Allison, your hating on the premio too

If blind folded into either of the cars and then left to drive for several kilometers without racing the car, you won't tell which of the two you have until you stop and step out to check the details. However if you race the car, the allion is slightly faster.

As a person who owned both of these models with the same year, I gotta say that the Premio is alot smoother than the Allion. And the Premio does look more luxurious than the Allion. Even Toyota said that the Premio is more for the people who are looking for luxury and the Allion is for the younger people who likes sporty cars. From my experience, Driving an Allion after driving the Premio I feel a huge difference in both the performance and comfort so I'm definitely going with the Premio here. Hope this helps and do test drives before you decide on what you actually wanna get.

Well I agree with you if I have a POV in Sri Lanka. ITS FREAKIN 8-10 million rupees for the premio and The Allion is 6.5-8 million!! The premio is a great car but not for the price.

Wrong! A G version of Toyota premio(2000cc) comes in 2wd i.e. front wheel drive only. A all wheel drive(4wd) can be found on the X version(1800cc).

@@caradvicekenya1033 typically AWD vehicles have better traction than FWD vehicles since each wheel individually gets power, if one begins to slip three others work to regain traction and for similar reasons AWD tend to have better ACCELERATION than FWDs

Man get their ECUs .. if you can.. break it down, study the algorithms and you'll see their similarities end with outside appearance. One ECU cannot run on another. ECU is the brain of a car. otherwise this is a pedestrian comparison. but it sounds nice

The ECUs can not be the same because of the additional aesthetics on the Premio hence more sensors but principally the two are twins. The ECU of the premio will work with allion but not vice versa.
