DONT DO this trip in PHUKET! One of the Worst trips we've done

Please dont do this trip in phuket! Firstly we had booked this form a tour shop around Karon beach in Phuket, This trip was booked as this was sold cheaper than what our tour rep was charging and she had warned us about doing trips with other providers giving you too good to be true money. Which certainly rings alarm bells telling you dont do this trip in Phuket.
So we paid 1,500 Baht each for this trip a 40 discount compared to what out rep was offering. She did warn that other tours may not include a English speaking guide. We certainly didnt get this with this trip, also our guide was about 14 to 15 years old aswell as not talking english took us on some of the most sketchiest paths and through the jungle as possible and these ATV's only had a front brake and emergency brake with no back brake to help control and the ATV's kept skidding. Our friend Tom came of the ATV and ended up in a ditch. all this we forgot to mention. so on your next travel especially booking trips make sure you have english guide with reputable company and make sure they have appropriate insurance and take you to some not so sketchy paths and a guide that will stay behind and not just zoom off and take no regard to what happens to the person last in the trip! weve done tonnes of ATV tours all around the world and have done roughly 18 of these and this by far the worst one yet!

It was all sooooo good apart from the mango sticky rice which I was so disappointed I didn’t like! Haha that’ll teach us for not doing more research into the company we booked through I guess will tell you all about it when we see you ☺️

Love the afternoon tea - totally agree with the animal issues - it makes us so angry as well when see that kind if thing. Loving this series of vlogs - cant wait for the elephant hills episodes 😊

Hi guys, great vlog. I had a similar experience as James in a pool as a kid and haven’t been near one since, but that looks awesome 😎 The floating afternoon tea is genius, looked lush ❤ Wow that track looked a bit bloody etchy sketchy 😮😮😮😮😮 I agree about fruit and rice Ellie….not for me either 😦 I am glad you are still alive after that trip guys ….. edgy 😬😬😬 100% with you on the cruelty of the animals 😢

Hey I’m glad I’m not the only one that had the fear of god put into me that was my junior school that done that took us to the worst pool ever it was woof! 🤢 the afternoon tea was nice would of been good either way some scones with cream and jam instead of that rice and mango 😏. I wish we captured more of how bad that trip was and the roads and steep hills we had to go up and down and we kept skidding the ATV’S 🫣 absolutely terrifying Kezza! And thanks more people need to be aware of how animals need to be treated too many naive stupid people in this world unfortunately 😠. Thank you Kezza for your support 💙💙💙

I love how passionate you are about animals ❤️ As for the floating afternoon tea, i think it is worth 15 quid (even if i didnt eat any) it would be worth it just for the Instagram photos 😂😂

Phuket was definitely an eye opener that’s for sure it was so sad to see the elephants shackled up 😢 Haha yes it was totally worth it for the gram 😆 the food was actually good too even tho the hot bits were basically cold by the time we took our photos and videos 🤣

😂 did a atv tour in Thailand too and some of those paths look familiar. Some of it it was scary AF 10000% agree with regards to the elephants it’s so sad seeing them being abused

God what you guys didn’t see is my poor mate going down the side of a ditch oz these ATV were shocking and didn’t have the adequate brakes the list goes on just thankful we all survived as had to stop 1/4 of the way through from filming😰

Cool video guys, that afternoon tea looks so cool! On the elephant thing, me and my boyfriend went to a 'sanctuary' in India and it was not what it was portrayed online, and by the time I realised it was too late to leave. So I just opted to interact with the elephant and not to ride it. It made me sad to see the saddle on its back :(. I definitely gave it a bad review and warned other tourists not to fall for it. Don't be a d*ck as James says haha. Somehow though all of these places have 5* reviews - HOW. So, yeah, happy I got to actually interact with an elephant and she was gorgeous but I felt guilty for handing these people my money when they clearly are just using the elephants for money. I hate to think where the elephants sleep. On the website, they made it sound like the elpehants had lots of space and they were retired elephants from bad places, etc. When I asked the guy there where the elephants were from, he just said 'here there and everywhere, sometimes we take them from X place'. Yeah red flags all over. My advice to anyone is just to avoid animal experiences all together but 99% its gonna be dodgy. Anyway that's my two cence!

Thank you, the afternoon tea was delicious and definitely worth the money :) Ahhh no that’s really bad they portrayed it in a different light. If the reviews were good then you would have no reason to have doubts so it’s not your fault you believe what you see online sometimes. Unfortunately I think some of these companies write great reviews about their business themselves to bring in the tourists which is just awful! The Asian elephants are just adorable aren’t they we loved our experience at elephant hills and would definitely recommend them for sure :) The elephants that were previously used in the logging industry or tourism industry unfortunately will never be able to be released back into the wild! Phuket was really bad for animal tourism not just elephants which was really sad 😔 Hopefully more people talking about this will help educate people into not partaking in these activities and one day it will be banned! I'm so sorry your tour wasn't what you expected, it's always disappointing when that happens and a waste of time and money. Also shocking to hear about the elephants 😢 I'm embarrassed to admit I was one of those dicks that rode one. It was in bali, just after 9/11, so a long time ago and I was only young, at a sanctuary type place, but the awareness we have now just wasn't around then. Looking back, they appeared well cared for and didn't show signs of stress, and we were able to feed them whilst they bathed. I just hope they weren't badly treated, it would break my heart knowing that. I definitely wouldn't do it now 😔

We should have done more research to be honest but it was really awful the worst one we have ever done! It was really sad to see those poor elephants shackled up but yes your right there is so much more awareness now than there used to be years ago. When I was younger I used to want to ride an elephant in Thailand but it’s only been in the last 8-10 years that we found out how awful it is 😢 can’t believe it’s still allowed to happen! Hopefully with time it will stop. There was also a place called Tiger Kingdom which is just shocking 😡
