If you want to cut things better then get some self healing cutting mat. Didn't need them here but hollow punches are really handy making gaskets that have bolt holes in them. Cutting those out with a blade sucks.

I use a ball from a ball bearing brazed to a brass rod, different sizes for different sized bolts, 1 or two taps with the ball pien hammer and you have your first hole, drop a bolt in to keep alignment and go for it.
