As soon as I saw the video I hoped you ran into Jiren. I'm so happy it was the first one, facing him is an experience. Bit of an explanation on his difficulty: Jiren has the most difficult inputs in the game and played right, he's a monster. A person would have issues playing him and using his difficult supers. An AI of course, has no such limitations. If you go into his settings, you can make his inputs more accessible (meaning just as difficult as the rest of the cast) at the cost of making his supers less powerful. He feels less of a boss character if you do that.

Hyper Dragon Ball Z is one of the best fighting games I’ve ever played it needs more recognition

The reason you fought Jiren on the first match is because since he's still a character that doesn't come with the game it doesn't have an specific match number where he can appear(see how you'll always fight base Goku and Vegeta on 2nd or 3rd match of arcade), so the game defaults to the first match for his potential battle. This is sorta the same reason why his stage changes each try instead of being like other characters that always have the same stage. If you feel you're not ready for him just quit and reenter arcade mode until Krillin, Gotenks or Satan appear instead of him. continuing doesn't change the character you lost again Also I'm not sure if you're interested in becoming better but if you go against any other character that isn't the game's grappler try using not fully charged focus attack as it's a frame-1 armor attack and it's dash cancellable for combos

"Why does he do so much damage?" Huh...He's a grappler with some of the hardest inputs in the game + Jiren has an unique gimmick. His lights hit as hard as mediums, his mediums as hard as strong punches and his strong attacks are straight up specials. Slow, strong and scary... Oh and his special emo mode(same stuff like ssgss) lets him combo grabs into each other.
