An amazing movie that popularized very unknown characters, when this movie was first announced back in like 2012 I was incredibly excited to see Groot and Gamora specifically on the big screen, and man did James Gunn (the director) deliver!

The casting for the Guardians is so good I know the MCU casting in general is God tier but for the time this movie come out and when you deep how hard of a job it is to sell some of these characters they smashed it out the park. James Gunn done an amazing job directing this masterpiece

Yeah I’m right there with you on the opening scene. I went to see this a month after loosing my father to cancer and holllyyy frack dude it tore me apart! But I know my father (who was also a big fan and would sit with me for hours listening to me prattle on about the comics) wouldn’t want me to loose my love for these films because of that so now it’s a bitter sweet memory.. until I watch the fecking opening again! While all of the movies at this point were meh at worst and amazing at best, I was really hoping Marvel would branch out to lesser known characters and HOLY SHIT did they deliver. One of the things I love about this movie is that when it was announced a lot of the fan base thought for sure this would be a horrible movie since it was about obscure characters that didn’t connect with the avengers, but now it’s one of the most beloved movies and some of the most beloved characters in the mcu.

All 3 of the Guardians movies are so good imo, James Gunn did such a great job making these C-list characters absolutely household names and always fun to watch on screen.

Make sure you react to the X-Men movies and the Spider-Man trilogy (Starring Tobey Maguire) and The Amazing Spider-Man Movies (Starring Andrew Garfield) before you start Phase 4 of the MCU.

So, there IS a technique used to release air or fluid from the pulmonary space around the lungs if air or fluids build up in there (if they do it holds the lungs closed so you can't breathe). The condition is called a tension pneumothorax. A medic will do a chest dart (basically puncture into that space and release the air) in one of two places... this doesn't match either. The condition isn't really caused by drowning and Drax isn't really showing the symptoms... so... no idea what is going on here. He is an alien so presumably his anatomy is different I suppose. It's hard to tell from the angle... but to me it looks like Groot would have just punctured Drax's heart if he were human. Pro-Tip: puncturing the heart is not a good way to save people. But... who cares, I don't watch movies about crazy colored aliens for medical accuracy.

Space does have clouds but it’s only when you see it from a distance they are clouds they are really either fields of debry that work like pixels when you view from earth but the concept of dark energy might be what you are thinking of but we are not able to detect dark matter
