Kai had alot more to deal with - a new home with new scents, new people to live with, new cata who werent welcoming at first. So he was bound to play up with his attitude. But they ultimately seem to be blending in well together. Hard work pays off!! It took almost 2 years for my too cats to sleep in the same room together, so yes alot of patience with them and letting them be where they are comfortable and be hopeful that they come round and become closer.

Awww that was such a sweet video. Honestly for them to be that social together in less than a week is amazing. You did exactly what you were supposed to do as far as introducing them , separate rooms but let them smell each other. You guys did great!!! I am so loving that cat room. I'd love to do that in my spare room and the enclosure so they can feel outside while not being outside where it's dangerous is so cool. You guys are great parents !!!!!

It took about 2 months for our baby Louie and our oldest Maxwell to finally be friendly to each other. They still fight but they play more and they are actually like brothers now. Good job! I love seeing this 🥰

I learned from someone that works at a pet shop they don’t carry that spray for cats. Reason being it doesn’t work for cats. And they didn’t want to have their customers blow their money on nothing. Which I thought was nice.

Just so you didnt know yet, Kai is a Scottish Fold cat breed which has natural Folded Ears, hope this was helpful! (Scottish Fold and British Shorthair have always as similar hair and color!)

Reminds me of when I got my second cat Ellie. We got her so that my other cat Tiggs would have a little play buddy since he’s pretty playful, but my parents cat jewels wanted nothing to do with him and that seemed to make him sad. The concern wasn’t if Tiggs would like the new kitten cause he loves just about everyone and everything he meets, but we knew we had to slowly introduce the kitten anyway. It took awhile but now 2 years down the line Tiggs and Ellie get along great and are best buds.

I wonder how that worked with my 14 Cats. Some I got from the pound, some from an adoption drive at the Grocery and some simply decided to move it. Never encountered a Cat fight and every single one new his/her name and came when called.

I think she introduced them to one another WAY too fast! When I did my first introduction, I kept shelter cat Mitten apart from my resident cat, Son of Tiger. Mitten had gotten a URI at the shelter where I adopted her, so I really had no choice. I kept her in my spare room for a week, and I let them sniff one another through the door. I then opened it, let 'em watch one another. Then, I let Mitten have run of the whole house. They got along well after that. After Mitten died, I adopted another cat. The second intro went faster, but that's because I got a cat that loves and gets along well with other cats. I was going to keep them apart for a week, but on day 3, I had to get something from the room. My original intent was to just go in, get something, then get out; so, I left the door open. Once in there, I realized that there was something else I needed to do in there. I left the door open, and my resident cat walked in. Wasabi, the new cat, and and Son of Tiger looked at each other, sniffed one another, and that was it. They were like, "Oh, you're the one I've been smelling at the door-okay." I left the door open, and now the cats get along well

I was really worried how it’d go with my 7 (at the time) year old and a new kitten but now they’re very close. imo those churu style treats and patience/persistence really are the key. It took 4 or 5 days of active effort before my adult cat stopped hissing at the kitten but they were playing within the week. Though it did take like a month or so before my adult cat stopped being kind of on edge but it didn’t take the same kind of proactivity from me, just giving them treats together every few days or so

Its like they are brothers and sisters but i didnt expect Kai to get so comfortable with your cats especially with chase they are super close i really love that all the hard work payed off in the end or as they say the dark always comes to light
