To sum this up: Kaido fought the Akazaya Nine (Raizo being replaced by Izo), 9 increadibly strong individuals. He defeated an entire army of Minks after Jack lost to them. He fought off 5 Members of the Worst Generation at the same time together with Big Mom (they were just playing around at this point). He then entered a 1v1 fight with Luffy. He then finished off Kin'emon in pursuit of Momonosuke. He then had a 1v1 fight with Yamato. He then got jumped by a now adult Momonosuke and Luffy while still fighting Yamato. He then entered another 1v1 fight with Luffy. He then finished off the CP0 agent who interferred. He then went back to the main stage area to fight the remainders of the Samurai and Pirate alliance still fighting his men. He then entered another 1v1 fight against awakened DF Luffy (literally a god at this point) and put up a strong fight before going down to an attack he could have dodged. He did all of this *while lifting the entire island all of this was taking place on on his back* - not just that, in the later stages Momonosuke also added more difficulty to it by trying to push it into the opposite direction. He took no breaks except for a brief while after he beat up the Akazaya Nine and before the Worst Generation made it to the rooftop. And there are people out there who think Luffy could solo this man. When it took two armies and 16 named, strong characters to bring this monster down. And all of those still got the absolute shit beaten out of them before he was brought down (he nearly killed Luffy 4 times in total).

Its art. Creator wanted to showcase the strength and hardening development of the protagonist so that he could progress into further and more difficult obstacles than Kaido. The whole point of Wano was that Luffy rallied an entire country to fight back against an insurmountable foe. Kaido had no friends left to catch him when he finally lost and that’s why Luffy always wins, he’s not afraid to allow himself to rely on others for assistance

@@onichan0688 Kaido masters ALL forms of Haki, with a much better level than Luffy, he is physically more powerful than Luffy, belonged to one of the most powerful crews in Op. But yeah he lost because he was having fun. No plot armor is responsible for its defeat. And we will note that Luffy will have awakened his fruit, but not Kaido.

Literally no one besides Luffy landed multiple significant blows that damaged Kaido. Besides, in anime, getting hit in vital organs doesn't mean shit especially when it comes to Kaido. If it really hurt him that bad, then he would've mentioned it again. Doffy shouldn't even be brought up as an example.

@@POW-du3st doffy was mention as an example of how lethal the attack is. Killer's sonic scythes, kid using pressure to attack Kaidou and what not. All those other fighter up there mattered, at the very least all of them contributed by being meat shields for Luffy giving him time to recover. And law's attack was commented on by the yonkous as being noteworthy, if it was any other top tier except for big mom and kaidou that those lethal attacks landed on, the fight would have finished
