Yeah especially when it turns into a motorcycle, best feature yet, they just ditched the ejector seats for a full on bike, now that's escaping with style, the new one better have some kind of cool ejection sequence as well, it better turn to a bike, a jet, or maybe a segway XD, transforming/transitioning vehicles are the best

The scene, where the Batmobile in the new Batman movie first appears, was absolutely insane. When it first starts revving up, the whole theater was shaking and when the tail lights went up, this thing looked like a demon outta hell. Masterful sound design and cinematography, like the rest of the movie.

After just watching the new Batman, this one is my favorite by a country mile, maybe isn’t as utilitarian as the tumbler but unmistakably the best sounding with the best chase scene, seriously he hits two step for a solid 10-15 seconds to start the chase and it is orgasmic

A few details have been confirmed about the new Batmobile. It's based on a 1969 Dodge Charger, heavily armored with a roll cage and better suspension. The engine is a rear mounted Ford Triton V10, and if you look carefully the rear profile matches the Bat symbol. Not about the car, but apparently the bat on the suit is made from the gun that killed his parents.

That was cool that The Tumbler could actually do everything and more needed in the script!! Nolan's meticulous reinvention of Batman, gadgets, car and villains are so G.D. STELLAR!! Still my absolute favorite Batman films of all time!!

Burton’s Batmobile also had RC, shot grappling hooks at lampposts to help it turn corners and it also had a full armadillo shell that protected it when BM wasn’t there.

The Tim Burton Batmobile will always be my favorite, but this most recent iteration has a real muscle car vibe to it that I'm loving. It's worth noting that both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin have Batnipples.

I saw the movie tonight. The Batmobile was great! I grew up on the original and was happy to see flames shooting out the back. The thing sounds badass, and looked fantastic! What was also very cool was seeing Bruce drive up in a scene in his '63 corvette!

I really enjoyed that. Great job on the run through. There are so many versions in the comics. I've been a Batman fan for a long time. I dragged some mates along to the midnight premiere of the first Joel Shumacher movie. I was absolutely gutted. A fluorescent Batmobile that drove up walls?! Faaaaark! Batman Begins was a great turning point for sure. But I'm genuinely excited for the new Batman movie. That hand-built Batmobile really looks good. A brutal street machine capable of ramming the bad guys. The 60's Batmobile is still my favourite though. 😁

Honestly given that Gotham is based on NYC, an armored Geo Metro with a big motor would actually be pretty ideal. I kinda like dumb super hero cars like that. Like my own fictional super hero car The Turbo Brick: a 1990 Volvo Wagon with a rear door that doubles as a wing and jet thrusters that pop out the trunk!

I live in south central PA and when I went to see the dark knight a local guy with a machine shop built his own tumbler let everyone get in and take pics at the theater. Guy a legend

Love it or hate it, at least the campiness of the 60s Batman provided a springboard to improve further Batman outings across the board (until Joel Silver had a bender that is). Without setting that low bar, imagine how zany things could have gotten with Hollywood at the wheel with no reference to improve. Edit: Sorry Joel Silver, correction. Schumacher.

The tumbler is my most favorite batmobile, as a kid i really love futuristic and tanky things, thats one of the reasons why i love with iron man, when i first saw the tumbler i fell inlove. Even though i havent seen that movie in years, i still remember the scenes that this car showed up, i dont even remember how the story goes.

The Val Kilmer batmobile was my favorite live action batmobile and I had no idea H.R. Gieger designed (I love Alien). But Donut Media forgot on live several “real” batmobiles. Which includes a 1956 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 & 1939 Cadillac Series 70

I worked for Fantasy cars in EC and later Cars are the Stars in L.A. We restored Batmobile #1 for owner Bob Butts and it later was sold back to Barris. Car still has the 390 engine from my wrecked 1964 Thunderbird in it.

I had the batmobile toy on the right growing up and I played with it all the time. I also remember going to Toy's R Us and seeing it on the safety recall list because the wings were too pointy. My parents had them send us replacement wings that were curvy and way less cool. James has the original wings on his right there. Way to live dangerously.

There’s something I love about Pattinson’s Batmobile, it’s not as flashy as it the others and “realism” is kinda cliche in superhero films but the idea of just a muscle car with a jet engine seems pretty much like the closest thing to an irl Batmobile possible

Affleck’s batmobile was definitely superior to the tumbler. Engineered by Dennis McCarthy, the drift enthusiast in me can’t help but admire the fact that they intentionally gave it a bunch of steering angle for the skid shots.
