I miss my Integra Type R every single day of my life. I had to park it on the street for ONE single day instead of in the driveway because we were having the driveway completely redone. I hear a loud crashing sound at about 7am... Then like 45 second later the doorbell rings... A GOD DAMN GARBAGE TRUCK had hit my baby! It bent the frame so badly the insurance company declared it totaled. Before they took it away to car heaven, I took some dental floss and "sawed" off the the badges and still have them as a memory of my baby. And the insurance company surprisingly let me keep a bunch of the undamaged parts. I don't know what to do with them....but they're still in my parents' garage. Also OH GOD, hearing that a stock low mileage one goes for 70 grand or more today made my sad parts activate, when I think about what I paid for mine when I was 16.

Yikes. That hurts. For me, it was before I was born. My dad had a Mk.3 Supra _Turbo_ after marrying, then decided to sell it after repeated engine issues rather than legitimately trying to rebuild the engine. Traded it in for a DC2 Integra Type-R, white like all the rest, but with a A/C re-add. Like yourself, he took his eyes off the car for, like, 5 minutes, he had to visit family overseas. Less than a year after buying it, the insurance company and cops found it on a hill with no engine. When I mentioned how much they were worth a few months back new, my mom couldn't sleep. Goddamn Civic kids putting different engines in things, they had to come from somewhere and I got robbed of a chance to drive a DC2.

I remember when I was younger I had a Megane Trophy hot wheels and it was my absolute favorite one because you could remove the spoiler and I forgot what it was called and essentially forgot about it. Little did I know, it made me love hatchbacks a little and I then went on to become a fanboy of them eventually buying one for a project car. Watching this video, the moment he said “Megane” it clicked. I remembered my Megane trophy hot wheels and it explained where my love for these cars came from..

Legit spilled my drink when I realised that Lynk had 592 Hp. In a FWD car. I mean, I'd heard about that car before, guessed it had 400-ish hrsprs and was just super light, with a stupid amount of downforce that no sensible car should ever have and some clever engineering trickery to achieve a lap time faster than a Ferrari 488. Then James mentioned it's top speed and I completely lost it.

The Clios with the small engines are great, but I would stay away from a Renault Scenic with a 1.4 The 1.9D was the best engine Renault ever made, it was used for over 20 years with and without Turbo, it was actually so good that Volvo; what was very picky in the 80s, took them. I feel like the C5 doesn't get the respect it deserves either. I mean, the C5 is what really all the other Corvettes after are built upon. You can literally use C6 parts on a C5 or vice versa because they are literally the same. The C7 was just a better version of the C6 as the C6 was just a slightly better version of the C5. Plus, the C5 is what gave us all the LS engines. You can buy a used C5 that is still mechanically sound for roughly $10,000. That's how much I got mine for just over a year ago. It had 105,000 miles on it when I got it. It now has over 135,000 miles and has gone from Texas to Maine and back again. 2 days each way. I have driven mine in the middle of a few snow storms and she still goes just as fast as the day I first got her.

Errr... No. We drop the baguette and snails and pour some eau-de-vie in the gas tank. If the injection system can handle it, then we put some saucisson skin under the turbo release valve to keep the pressure up. If the engine doesn't blow up then we unfold the Opinel knife and cut away useless parts like fenders, seats, door covers or ABS systems.

Everyone will hate me for this, but let's go: 1_ Front wheel drive favors regenerative braking. The weight shift towards the front axle during braking means the front wheels can receive higher braking torque, permitting higher regeneration power, and higher energy efficiency. 2_ Steering or driving an axle makes it way more expensive to manufacture than an axle that is neither driven nor steered. However, driving the front wheels will cost only marginally more than just steering them, while driving the rear wheels through anything but a live axle will cost as much as or maybe more than a complete front wheel drive suspension. 3_ Rear wheel drive is only necessary when, due to the power level, it is critical to use the weight shift to the rear axle during acceleration in order to provide better traction. 4_ Torque steer is caused by driveline asymmetry and suspension geometry (when the traction makes the wheels toe in too much and then a minor weight shift chooses one side to runaway to); but depending on power level, when the asymmetry gets sorted out, the geometry doesn't need to; just look at Subaru cars.
