This is Delta Balls. There ain't a thang like it out there, and there never will be. Enjoy this piece of history. This tune brings tears to my eyes.

I saw them when they opened for Ween back in 96. Bob Log played his guitar with a monkey paw and barfed inside his helmet. It changed my life.

Shawn Standiford I saw that tour in boston . it was the night that they broke up , and subsequently was the first bob log lll show. I didnt know that , but I met bob in france at a festival we were both playing and he filled me in on that detail . he is a fuckin cool guy. his wifes project -the town bikes- were rad , and hilarious too.

that was Ween’s 12 Golden Country Greats tour, right? I was at the show in AZ. Actually got to chat for a moment with Gene while Doo Rag played. I am quite thankful to Ween for bringing Doo Rag into my world

@@the-smiles-and-frowns indeed it was. I'd somehow already learned about Doo Rag, but can't remember how.

No lie. He was still rocking the helmet and outfit. . He just wound up a cheekymonkey drum doll and went to town. He actually kept time as that thing came unwound. It was fuckin beautiful!

Live on french Tv at 8PM in the 90's... I Saw this when I was 16 year old... You had the choice between Cosby Show, or the evening news.... Absolutely IM-POS-SI-BLE these days.... Where those frantic moments are gone ?

I almost imagine that Doo Rag is what Lightning Bolt would've sounded like had they started playing Delta blues.
@HowManyHenrys9 жыл бұрын
Spot on. And now a question - if Lightning Bolt had started with jazz...who would they be?

Colin Beck Borbetomagus. Its a hellishly noisy New York band that's been around since the late 70s.

Funny, I was playing Lightning Bolt at my job a couple years back, which my manager heard - he then told me to put this band on!

I'm sure Bob built it himself. He also built his resonator guitar - or at least hacked up an old POS into a resonator; I asked him about it. When I saw them in 94 he had a carbon mic element built into an old vacuum cleaner coupled to a GIANT old victrola-sort of horn. It sounded amazing but here I suppose they were hindered by travel to Europe. We gave Thermous a new beer case - which he had coupled to a kick drum pedal - apparently the beer case doesn't last more than a couple nights with that sort of abuse. He also had a brake drum on a bucket and a trash can.

God loves you so very, very much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and also repent. :) :)
