Doodh potol-this delightful Bengali niramish potol (pointed gourd or parwal) recipe is simple, quick, and tastes unbelievably good for the amount of time and effort it takes. It is a summer speciality as potol are in season now. Doodh potol is made with 'kochi' potol or baby potol that do not yet have overgrown seeds. The vegetable soaks up the curry and becomes soft and juicy. Each potol, when eaten, bursts in your mouth releasing the delicate curry. Do not try and recreate this potol recipe using larger potol-it will not taste very good. This preparation is creamy yet light, and looks incredibly special even though can be put together in less than 30 minutes. A must-have during the summer months.

I tried this recipe today, just replaced potol with Lauki cut in cubes. It turned out really delicious. Also a big hit among those who don't eat Lauki otherwise. Thanks for the recipe.

ঠিক এইভাবে আমরা দই পটল করি। এমন ভাবেই গোটা গোটা পটল ভেজে তারপর ঘি তে গোটা গরম মশলা, গোটা জিরে আর তেজপাতা ফোড়ন দিয়ে পটল ভেজে আদাবাটা, হলুদ গুঁড়ো আর সামান্য লঙ্কা গুঁড়ো দিয়ে শেষে টক দই ফেটিয়ে দিই গ্রেভি হওয়ার জন্য। এটা একটু মিষ্টি মিষ্টি বানাই।

দারুণ, দুধ পটল আমাদের বাড়িতে গরমকালে প্রায়ই হয়, মা এই রেসিপিটাকে মাঝেমধ্যে একটু অন্যরকম করতে, এতে একটু নারকেল পোস্ত বাটা, আর ওঠানোর আগে সরষের তেল ছড়িয়ে দেয়, সেটাও দারুণ লাগে।। 😍😍

কাল আমরা বাড়িতে তোমাদের রেসিপিতে দুধ পটল রান্না করেছিলাম। আগেও এটা খাওয়া হয়েছে, কিন্তু তোমাদের রেসিপিটা unique. এত simple , কিন্তু অসাধারণ খেতে হয়েছিল। আর খুবই কম সময় লাগল বানাতে ; রান্নার লোকও খুশ্😊। সব মিলিয়ে দারুণ!

অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ পটলের এতো সুয়ন্দর একটা রেসিপি আপলোড করার জন্য :) আমাদের দেশে পটলের এতো সুন্দর রান্না সচরাচর হয় না। পশ্চিমবঙ্গে সত্যিই ভিন্ন রকম কিছু অসাধারন রান্না আছে যেগুলো বাংলাদেশের চেয়ে সম্পুর্ন আলাদা। পটলের দোলমার রেসিপিওটাও চাই :)
