Doom 2: Master Levels - Vesperas (Level 18)

Master Levels for Doom 2 is a collection of Doom 2 maps by various authors. They're stand alone levels so can be played in any order. I'm playing them in the order that they were released for the PlayStation.
The Master Levels were released in 1995 as an expansion for Doom 2. Six creators contributed to designing the 21 new levels. All of them begin with a pistol start except for one secret level.

You know what's crazy...I only have 32 monsters left and gone through most of the level but I haven't found one key. What the Hell?! I would have never figured out the invisible walkway had it not been for you. Now it's all pretty linear so I'm good. Thank you for getting me out of this little jam.

I guess you're supposed to look at the map and notice the ledge. With how messy the map is and how many little details don't make sense, they would have to be idiots to expect the player to notice that, let alone think anything of it.

Invisible walkway huh!? Anyone thinking on building maps at all, take note - this kinda stuff aint cool! 🤨 Thanks yet again for revealing more progression-barring hideousness in the Master Levels series! 😁

Wait til you play Elden Ring and meet all the invisible enemies. FromSoft also subscribe to the "everyone hates invisible things so let's double down on them lol" mindset.

Man of honor, the low ammo and the bs placement of keys makes this my least favorite level

This map is so much more satisfying on PSX, with Aubrey Hodges' Toxin Refinery music perfectly complementing the beautiful PSX night sky texture and lending way more atmosphere.
