Awesome video mate, I managed to complete ultra-nightmare myself!! The only thing i did differently was that i unlocked and litterally abused the other plasma rifle upgrade, as it saved my life in many scenarios especially in the first half of the run. This was a really exaustive guide, helped me a lot :)

07 Can be either really easy or hard - there's also a way to get soft locked. If you go to the gore nest by the argent cell, clear it but back track to get more health/armor before the fight, you'll be unable to get back to where you are and have to restart!

Thanks for going through the effort of posting this. I like your strats and def will be trying this out. After speedrunning this & the sequel for like 500h+ combined, being this safe doesn't exactly come easily as the game is so different on a easy difficulty so this sorta play-by-play commentary is much appreciated!.

Spider Mastermind - died on UN here towards the end. I had a lot of BFG shots in the beginning just not stun her at all which was frustrating. Unlike my regular nightmare attempts which were easy. I'll try it again someday but in no rush

Going to use this for reference, I am currently working on trying to finish an Ultra-Nightmare run. Many deaths and attempts already, farthest I've gone recently is Kadingir Sanctum. Definitely feel the improvement after running through the UAC a couple times already.

04 This one is tricky for me because I go for the challenge on hell knights and there’s only 5-6 total on the map and it’s very easy to fail because you have to jump off a box to get a DFA on them Other than that I find the map pretty easy and only die to stupidity generally OP and other guides are absolutely correct in warning you about challenges because they make you play stupid and the hell knight challenge is a premiere example of this I think it’s worth it to seek out and use the glory kill duration rune just for this map and challenge

06 Most of this mission really isn't too bad unless you're trying to get the challenges - the one on the hell razers is actually extremely annoying to get because it's only from one side. The last couple fights are quite hard and easy to die on if you don't use quad damage strategically. Hope you don't mind me commenting here because future runners will read this and discuss

For a long time, I didnt know you could do the "2posesses 1shot" challenge with explosive shot. So I tried all the time with the 12gauge. Was really hard to get it done....🤣🤙

I kind of wish they kept the challenges for unlocking runes in doom eternal. I understand that it took away from the pacing of the game play having to do them. But they could have come up with a better system than just clicking a rune and picking what ever you want. You can literally get saving throw as your very 1st rune in eternal if you want which is silly to me.

Sometimes I really need an armor power up for a hard fight so I’ll take the armor argent cell instead of ammo edit: this is very rare though

05 This level is easy until those last tower fights which I’ve died on more than once

09 Don't change from Vulcan to OpenGL I did and when I reloaded the game, my health suddenly drained to 0 over the course of 3-4 seconds and "my torment has ended" 🤣

honestly might attempt to do this after watching you do it I don't like 2016s nightmare and thinks eternals is better specially with giving you back health in glory kills but this doesn't seem too hard
