In order for console commands to work, you MUST modify the .exe and enable the console. THIS ONLY WORKS ON PC. Here's a few resources on how to enable console commands:

Pistol was removed a few updates ago, what a shame. HUD removed via console commands.
Manual inspection of weapons can be done via the following command:
ai_ScriptCmdEnt player1 forceIntroBringup
It can be further reduced down to a button press via binding the command to a key. For example:
bind 1 ai_ScriptCmdEnt player1 forceIntroBringup
Now every time you press the 1 on the keyboard, it'll play the inspection for the currently equipped weapon. Unequip all mods via the inventory menu to see the full animation.

It looks and sounds unfinished - probably because they never intended for it to be inspected outside of the initial pickup cutscene.

@@OnyxTurtle For all that, i've got a possible argument. The unmaykr of all guns doesn't make noises, has some mechanism or machine working for a reloading or getting ready to shoot like Balista, BFG, Plasma Rifle and stuff. It's just a gun, an ancient hellish Maykr tech gun and it fires Argent so...such a simple, powerful and unique gun doesn't need show offs

I admire the fact that ID Software made a lot of effort to embrace the original games when crafting Doom 2016/ Eternal. The weapons in Eternal are an especially nice touch.

@@OnyxTurtle Yes, I really miss picking up the weapons located as secrets. They looked far better than the floating green weapons, that lack style and emotion to them (may be the classic doom players can feel the emotion, but I personally liked the doom 2016 weapon pickups and animations better).

This functioned as of the last update. Depending on your region and language, certain commands may not work for you. Also, you have to have an "unlocked" or "patched" game to run console commands. If your game is not patched/unlocked, every command is disabled. Here's the command on its own: ai_ScriptCmdEnt player1 forceintroBringup If you google "Doom Eternal unlock console commands" there are many guides that show you how to do it. Let me know if you need further assistance.

I'm not entirely sure at the moment. I've been doing some more digging recently and it appears that since it is not a player weapon nothing exists.

You have to be playing with console commands enabled, using a modified .exe / any other method to enable console commands. They are disabled by default. There are plenty of guides for it, and it's very easy to do.

Each update usually breaks it. If you go to the description, there is a Discord I linked that releases the updated menu tools. Just go there.

There's no distinct pickup animation that I have found so far - at least one that's triggerable via the console. If you have a suggestion or idea, please share it.

@@OnyxTurtle So do I just add that bind 1 line to the exe? I'm pretty inept when it comes to this shit. I can copy and paste shit, that's about it lol

@@lonewulv13 No. You need to first modify the .EXE, which allows you to use mods/the command line in the first place. Then you need to download the patch to use the command line. Use the DOOM modding Discord link I provided to accomplish this.

@@OnyxTurtle Yeah it looks way more complicated than the mod manager. I'll end up fucking my game up for sure. I'll just wait for someone to make a mod I can just copy and paste the zip file into the mods folder and run the .bat file. Know anyone in the Doom mod community that can pull it off fairly easily?
