Let's take it a step further and remove the hud as well.
"ai_haste_overriderate 2" doubles the movement speed and attack speed/frequency of all demons, doomguy is unaffected.
Can't disable the hit indicator in the middle of the screen afaik (edit: actually there's a console command for it, thanks allstin), no crosshair is used otherwise... the demons are pretty large anyways, so who needs it. The worst part about no hud is that I have no idea what grenade I have equipped half the time (edit: grenade change sound is different, that'll help in the future, thanks void walker).
I had a glitch where I fell off the second elevator and apparently saved a bit of time. It's not a speedrun, but it's nice that it's over 6 minutes faster than my previous ARC Complex ML video.
First marauder should have killed me here, I'd rather fight 5 marauders at the same time than 1 marauder with double speed. If he spawns the dog then you have to get rid of it, but it's moving so fast that it's difficult to hit. The marauder himself is very quick too and covers the distance immediately. It was nice to show just how lethal he can be here as he went down rather easy in cultist base. Also should have died in the fight with the haste powerup, couldn't find any fodder for nearly a minute there and the baron surprised me.
I've really been enjoying playing the game like this, some demons are no longer completely pathetic (tyrants, prowlers), mistakes are punished immediately, no hud is only a disadvantage if you lose oversight and every marauder feels like a genuine duel. No idea if I'll make more videos with this parameter.
