@@TrashRat45it's the way the harmonic rhythm is timed. Listen to the first distorted riff in Lateralus, then the Doom 3 theme. It's not too close, but close enough to draw the ear

@@Gavinn07 Tension on his guitars I'd imagine are for lower tunings, since that's most of what he plays. So if he tunes up to standard, he'd have to fix the guitar to be stable in the tuning

E3M1 I played Doom 1 and 2 as a kid before I got into metal and my favorite thing has been slowly discovering all the original songs those Doom songs were based off. Also finding bands that reference them like the interlude in Asche zu Asche by Rammstein haha they also have random samples through Wollt Ihr Das Bett in Flammen Sehen. Now every time I think about the music of Doom, I think of that one article of a guy reviewing Doom 2016. In the review, he was saying the music wasn't as great as he thought it would be. But it's based upon how well you preform in the game, lol.
