Just a heads up. Your base looks too loose. I think the manual says it shouldn’t wiggle more than 1 inch.

yes after the video i tightened it even more. as i cannot do it using one hand coz my other hand was holding the camera.

Does the base have to be leveled exactly for it to securely lock ?

Not needed, it will lock even though the leveler is on the RED side. But i guess they put that there for a reason, so might as well just level it to the GREEN center side.

the base comes with the carseat if you purchased the midnight edition, otherwise you need to purchase the base separately.

The base is included when you buy the Midnight Edition. If you purchased the regular version then you need to purchase the base separately.

That seems so loose. I’m gonna try to tighten it a lot more. With every other car seat I’ve ever installed it basically feels like part of the car and it’s hard to jiggle more than like a quarter of an inch when installed correctly.

Yes mine on the video looks loose, because i could not tighten it using just one hand. After the video i tightened it up.

Should the base/car seat be installed in the middle seat for added safety???

If your middle seat is flat and came with a latch then you could do that, but typical middle seats have a slight bump.

Hi there, yes that is another option if your car does not have any latch that you could hook the clip onto.

You're not supposed to use the latch system and a seat belt. Only one or the other.
