@@solovideosachede Yes, I think it was left open. It was a little bit of a let-down. I think you might agree that after so much trauma and work they put into a relationship, this needs to have a better feel-good resolution. As it is, they fought to get to a neutrality. The problem I think will be getting the main actors for scheduling. Especially Suzy Bae after this performance. I think there will be a long list of opportunities coming her way.

@@rc-guy2672 actually the ending subtly showed that they end up together, if you watch the episode opening, there are won jun and doona at japan waiting for train to cross. It basically show how idol or artist in real life meet with their SO, because they're very private with their private life

I think the story doesn't need to be extended, they were able to tell everything they needed to. However, the show definitely needed more episodes. Maybe I'm just used to the 16-episode format but it feels like some of the subplots needed to be fleshed out a bit more (like Won Jun's family, Doona's mom, also the housemates' relationships subplot just came out of nowhere, it should have had a longer buildup)

I like how we as viewers were given the opportunity to gather the hints from the intros and still cuts of episodes to find the ending. It provides as a point of view in terms of doona being an idol and wonjun a normal citizen, therefore the privacy was much needed for them. This drama showed me how idols still go through mental health issues along with all the love from the people and fame. They do experience loneliness and want to treasure their people in private. Great job to the cast and production team

Good drama. Ending is open. Who’s to say they are dating in secret or maybe they went their separate ways. It’s up to the viewer to decide.

It's not an open ending, it's a subtle ending. There's a lot of hints they're secretly dating, they just try to make it subtle.

Best casting 👍👏👏 Suzy is the embodiment of Soona and sejong for Wonjun. Doona is the best of 2023. Period. I just cant move on from this series. It was a ride of emotions. The casting, acting, directing, cinematography, everything was excellent. The ending was perfect too. If you pay attention to details, viewers will know they end up together

Thank you for creating such a great drama, Doona!. I and the general public love it so much. Very good casting with a good story, acting, and a whole production that can make us sympathize with the characters, esp. Doona. We can feel Doona's sadness, loneliness, and frustration toward the world, and how Wonjun's presence gives comfort and a feeling of being loved for Doona. Their chemistry is also on another level. I guess it's time to rewatch Doona 😄 Is it possible to ask for the official MV for Doona's solo debut, the bts for Dream Sweat, and the debut of Suzy-Sejong after Doona ranked 1st 😁

Loved watching Doona, that it will take time to heal my hangover!! Also loved to directly hear Director's insights. All the characters are layered and that made them more charming. Thank you to all PDs and actors for a wonderful project. I wish there were more episodes (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠) Also, Suzy and Yang Sejong's chemistry is on another level. More projects for them together!!!

before anyone saying its a sad or an open ending, its actually a happy one if you guys focus on each of the intro of the episode. there's clips of them meeting in japan, on the train tracks, the one with pink flowers and wonjun slightly smiling and wearing the same coat. one of the staff also released a behind the scene picture where they were in japan at the park and they were kissing. there's also another photo where they were hugging and she was wearing the ring again. its definitely true that they got back together and is probably in a private relationship. i wish they could''ve made this series a 12 episode instead of 9. there was alot of behind the scene photos and some of them were unreleased.

That intro where they all are having fun at the beach and Doona is dressed like an ordinary school girl, (remember when doona said, she never went to a school trip to Jin joo, and Jin Joo said we all should go to a trip then?) I can't help but feel like, it's the glimpses of that trip, they took in the future when Doona is established enough to not care about her agency. Even the lyrics of intro "let it shine, you'll be free, from all the things you used to be" kinda matches the scenario.

from looking at the released photos of deleted scenes, I'm sure they had at least 12 episodes in the tank which was the original plan. SJ also said that his favourite scenes/ moments all got cut out which was the trip to doona's grandma house.. 1:33 for example, whyyyyyy does this director always cut out these super sweet moments ffs fyi, he's also the director of crash landing on you! He's known for these type of hidden messages

Suzy and SeJong’s chemistry was so good i did not care much if it was a happy ending. Moments watching them give good feels i’ve repeated. The Director and script writer and cinematographer did great too. Hope they work together again in another project! ‘will definitely tune in netflix for more of them Suzy and Sejong. ❤

The leads are great but the supporting cast is awesome as well. I especially like the performance of Park Se-wan. It reminds me of the performance of Lee Sung-kyung in Cheese In The Trap. Really eye opening. It's the subtlety of the writing and directing though that really lifts this show up. If you see any US production of a series about high schoolers or college age adults you can tell the difference. Because in those the story and the characters are paint by numbers bad in comparison to how this story is told.

I cried, I smile, trilled all the emotions of Suzy I’m immersed in to feelings she have even without any words and so is the acting of Sejong. They perfectly nailed their roles and director did well the directions, make you think if they will give up or fight for their feelings. His good to confused us and makes think. If you’re smart enough the director shows all the clues that their love for each other win at the end. They continue their obligations to work and their love for each other. I watch it 2x. It’s so good that I’ll be watching it again. I hope theirs more of Suzy & Sejong moment. They are the best choice for the role no one else can portrait it better than Suzy and Sejong. Their Chemistry is on fire.

Congratulations, director Lee Jung-hyo! This series is a jewel crafted with care for every detail. I really liked the house, a world in itself, a castle, prison at the same time, from which Doona wants to escape, but she doesn't know what to choose, the normal world or her glittering world. Unfortunately, others choose for her. Anyway, there are two worlds that cannot exist together.👏👏👏I really liked that you didn't dilute the story in too many episodes...

It's a great series that leave the audience thinking on the characters side of the story. It slowly builds up the character and let the viewer knows what the character is thinking. And overall the ending was great, and i think giving it the end is smart since it will leave the viewer interpret the ending themselves.
