I prefer the allover pebble grain from D&B for this satchel. It's easily cleanable, does not show wear, and is slightly lighter weight than the florentine. Also, the satchel in pebble grain features the gold emblem whereas the florentine just has the leather emblem. I think the gold emblem is more lux, and really picks up the rest of the gold hardware. Beautiful bags, Ilene. I have a mini and a micro in Bordeaux and a black mini. My favorite is the mini. I love pebbling more than the smooth leather but I agree 100% that it has to be pebbled all over and not just in some areas. I think it gives it a rich and well worn (not worn in a bad way, lovingly used) look that I love. Nice to see you again so soon after your last video. I always look forward to seeing you!

Congratulations with your new beautiful bags ! 😍 I remember the video that you refer to where you prefered the Mini over the Micro. So it was interesting to hear that you now also like the Micro. 🤗 I now have 3 Micros, my first one in Chestnut was pebbled all over, and I was terribly disappointed, but kept it. All my other Florentine satchels in this silhouette in the different sizes Nano, Micro, Mini, normal size and Large are smooth. So now I appreciate the pebbled one so much ! 🎉😄🎉 I agree with you that the Micro is a very good size ! 👍 I which they did this silhouette in Micro size also in other leathers, such as croco embossed, animal printed leathers and so on...

Hi! It must be gorgeous in the Chestnut! The Chestnut I received was entirely pebbled and a dull color. My husband was supposed to give it to me for Christmas but decided to choose one of the other colors instead. I am going to try again for a beautiful smooth and shiny Chestnut. Yes, I prefer the Micro but still love the Mini too. Thank you so much for watching and chatting with me 💕

Your new bags are gorgeous Ilene! I love their drawstring bags and satchels. I have been buying a lot of Florentine here lately and every bag I have bought has been totally smooth. Even from QVC they have been perfectly smooth. Maybe customer service at Dooney and I Love Dooney got tired of people complaining and sending bags back. It's been a while since I visited your channel. Very nice haul...I love the Dooney Micro satchels!!! I've gone back & forth on the sizes too. I still love the Micro and the fact that it has the removable section on the strap. On the pebbled vs. smooth topic, I have a Navy satchel that is heavily pebbled and it is more gorgeous than many of my smooth bags. It's the drastically uneven textures that will have me considering a return. No one does a better drawstring than Dooney and that one is the perfect size!! TFS

I'm sooo happy for you!! I have 3 Nanos because I love the Satchel silhouette, but anything above the Small size was too heavy. (Surprised at how much I can fit in the Nanos!) Then I discovered the Micro and bought one in Brown Tmoro. I can't switch out of it because the size is perfect!! My favorite bag EVER! Enjoy your beauties and Happy Thanksgiving!

But, I admit, I would not be able to carry it for any length of time. The Micro is Awesome!! For people our size it is the Goldilocks of bags! Thank you so much for watching💕

Hi! My favorite is the black too. However, the black I received had an issue. Dooney accepts returns and issues a refund quickly so ordering another black bag, if still available, is not an issue. Thank you so much for watching 💕

Tie a little bit of thread around that piece.The hanging that doesn't have the leather piece that you're missing on your black bag. Nobody'll notice the string and then that thing won't be flopping around.

Hi! Thank you so much! The weight is an important thing to know, especially for anyone who has an issue. I find the Micro the best bag for me to carry. I do not carry it crossbody. I adjust the strap to carry it short shoulder and it is a breeze for me to carry. Thank you so much for watching 💕

I absolutely love the micro size ❤ it is my recent bag discovery. I have the regular size. Love it! However the micro is perfection & has enough room for my essentials. Great unboxing ❤ I definitely want to order another one. Just unsure on getting black or natural. But might get the black. Thank you. Also I noticed if the Florentine bag comes pebbled…it actually patinas soft & squishy. I love it.

Hi! That is so funny! In New York everyone I know dresses in black all the time. Something about it that makes everyone look better for some reason! The Navy Micro I received is the smoothest. My husband is going to give that bag to me. I am returning the Chestnut because it is all pebbled and dingy looking in person. To be reordered during another sale. Unfortunately, the black has to go back too. I have been stuffing it to remove the large vertical dent right in the middle of the front panel of the satchel to no avail. I will have to reorder that one again too. However, the Small Drawstring is a great find!! I carried it yesterday and loved it. Roomy and light weight! I love the chestnut Florentine as well. I have a medium in chestnut ,which I feel is too big on my frame but I love the big opening. That leather is just stunning!!

I looove my micro satchel in black.I am also not a fan of the skinny crossbody strap it comes with. I use my vintage coach brass lobster claw thick crossbody strap off a briefcase for all my black crossbody bags .

hi baglhound..i own two of them a black and red i bought a few y ears ago and rarely use them but i've noticed how much the price has gone up in the leather..:)..i have them in the large size...and rarely use them...wish i could take a picture to upload all my bags i have on shelves..you would be amazed...right now i am getting a room upstairs set up so i can start selling some of them...(my bags)...right now i have one room set up for just all my bags they are on shelves..one room assigned to just my bags...it's crazy...so now i am setting up a room upstairs to start selling some of those bags and other things....i am starting to down size and need to sell many of those bags..don't get me wrong..i still love bags..just think many of those bags i should not have bought..rarely use them...on shelves
