The shipwreck of the Grey Eagle is located near Schauer Park in Door County, Wisconsin. It was a 137 foot long wood schooner built in 1857. During a strong gale on July 10, 1869 the ship was driven ashore just north of Cave Point near the town of Jacksonport. Today the remains lie in just 12 feet of water. They were completely covered in sand until last year and now an 80 foot section of the hull is visible.
