I assume you're talking about the window scraper or whatever it's called. This is one piece and does not connect to the sides. It's not easy to remove without bending it all up. The part that clamps down on the door is metal. Just pry it off with the flat head screw driver. If that doesn't make since shoot me a message and I'll give you my email so you can send me a pic of the area you're talking about. I'll shoot a video for you.

I have a query re the window seal that sits horizontally on the outside section of the door frame where you would rest your elbow/arm when the window is fully down. Is this easily removed/replaced? Mine have split on the rubber where it curves from the side to the top. Your videos are of a great help, many thanks.
