at least i'm getting some good matches against stronger players. i'd much prefer being the underdog going for the upset rather than the favored side.

The best part about Tetris Effect is that no matter how bad you'll get whooped, you'll be listening to a banger the entire time.

and the fact that the game tries to blend sound effects with music makes it sound weird at times lol

At 3:26 and 9:24, you could’ve gone for TSS parapet to save T. T save is still possible for the second one but is much harder to see and leaves a worse board than TSS. You should try to check TSS before just taking the TSD, it often gives a much better board for 2 garbage
