Ik in the book Dorian's a blonde but this direction of black hair and Ben Barnes was such a better choice, just something about the rich, dark and slick look he has with his stunning dark eyes fits the overall mood and tone of the book better.

I watched the movie, it's worth it. Ben Barnes eyes were dark brown. His features (though he seems handsome) set the mood for the movie's genre of horror, mystery & fantasy.

I like how this song seems ironic, especially the lyrics around 1:03 as Dorian only possessed beauty and youth, at the cost of selling his soul (which is the exact opposite of the lyrics) yet at the same time, this is exactly what Dorian wanted to know, why he was terrified of aging and why he grew obsessed with retaining his youth and beauty-whether he would still be worthy after he became old and wrinkly.

I might be entirely wrong about this, but I suspect that Dorian’s look in the movie, which is very different from his description in the book, was influenced by Wilde’s appearance.
