Chest 1. Decline press: lower weight slowly. Warm up first set 10-12 reps. 1 minute rest, increase weight, another warm up set, 10-12 reps, moderate strain. Rest 1 minute, working set: 1 set 6-8 to failure. Rest 1 minute 2. Incline dumbbell press, 1 warmup set, lower weights slowly, 10-12 reps moderate strain. Rest 1 minute, 1 working set: 6-8 reps to failure. 1 minute rest 3. Flat bench dumbbell flye 1 warmup set, 10-12 moderate strain, rest 1 minute, working set: 6-8 reps to failure. Rest 5 minutes Biceps: 1. Dumbbells concentration curl, squeeze at top, low descent. 1 warmup set, 10-12 reps moderate strain. 1 min rest. Working set: 6-8 reps per arm, each to failure. 1 minute rest. 2. Straight bar curl, no warmup, 6-8 reps to failure. Potentially do negative reps.

I hear you lol but Dorian always wore a tank top 😂 I had a guy that would never pose in the gym and would condemn everyone who did. He wore a muscle string as well and was huge. It is a matter of perspective of what each individual’s opinions are. I love wearing a muscle string to see myself improving at the gym. I have poor quality light and mirrors at home. They suck 😂 Honesty, let people think what they think. I wear a tank top for me. If someone doesn’t like it… do what my Dad always told me to do… if you don’t like it don’t look at it 😉 It is inspiring to me to see athletes and guys have been working out for years displaying their physiques. It inspires me to reach for more. I go for me… I don’t act like a dick or anything and I am kind to all I come across. I guess it just depends on the individual. I had to squeeze it in and literally fucked her for about 15 seconds before she had a screaming orgasm. Ever since then I never felt the need to do the gym. Just showed them my cock after a bit of a chat and it allways seems to work. Can this system work while doing a full body routine ?Doing one exercise per body part, changing the exercises each workout or would that be too much volume fior this style of training ?

Why would u do a full body routine training like a bodybuilder ? Are you powerlifting or oly lifts? If ur training for bodybuilding train like one. No full body routines

@@hsfest ,I’m not training to be a bodybuilder . I just like his train to failure approach on the 3rd set At 58 I’m just trying to do different types of training to stay motivated and challenged. My heavy lifting days are over. Their is so many different opinions out there on You-Tube , so you just have to find what works for you. I like changing my routines and I find that full body routines work well for me.. This routine is something I can try for a small period of time then pull back and do a less intense type of training to recover. To each his own.
@hsfest2 жыл бұрын
@@shamrock8561 for what reasons are you training ? If it’s just purely health related this is not what you want to do although it builds muscle it will leave ur body lesss flexible and very tight. If u want to muscular hypertrophy ur wasting time doing full body routines If you want strength then a full body SBD program can work If you want both strength and muscular hyper trophy a full body routine won’t work If you want health / fitness a full body routine could work but not in the manner a bodybuilder trains I just never really see the point I’m not doing things optimally , sorry

@@hsfest I believe you are living in the dark ages. You have to evolve with the times . You can get great results with both strength and hypertrophy with full body routines if you know what you are doing . I have been training for over 35 years and I did well with split routines when I was younger. I recover much better with full body routines 3 times a week. You just change the intensity with each workout . I am a Sanitation worker so I need to do what works for me. I get good strength and hypertrophy from full body routines.

Can anybody elaborate on the theory behind 1 min rest in between sets? Really curious and I can’t seem to find much info on google about Dorian’s opinion on this.
@nattybynature12623 жыл бұрын
It's not so much a hard rule, but bodybuilding in general works best with short rest periods between 30s and 60s (1 minute). This program favors the upper end because the poundage is rather high (6-8 reps), and by default more taxing on the CNS. The reason for short rest is basically just to maintain intensity, keep the muscle "hot" so to speak.
@deanrichards5223 Жыл бұрын
It’s ok for certain muscle groups You go to bigger ones, ie lats, legs, longer rest period is necessary *I only know as I saw a video two mins ago of him explaining it 😂

Yeah training to failure consistently will fuck your CNS big time. Signs your CNS is fatigued would be like feeling you could sleep so much longer than normal, weak grip strength. When training just stick to this: you either train like Dorian, with a low volume high intensity session, or train more like Jay Cutler, with a high volume low intensity session. Jay tends to use failure way more sparingly, this is because doing high volume as well as high intensity is a no go.
@jigginjohnson28933 жыл бұрын
So just one working set??
@Benjamin-w413 жыл бұрын
Yes. Dorian recommends to do one or two warm up sets per exercise and then one working set where you go all out and use intensity techniques, mainly forced reps, in order to go beyond failure and to put the maximal effort into this single set.

What to take from here is the motion, weight ratio, and speed. Lower reps 3-5 and heavy weights if power. Higher reps and lower weights is cut and endurance. Can someone tell me why they do such few sets? If I did the exercises he showed us, I would only get a real good pump, I wouldnt really call that a workout.

Look up mike mentzer - You do 2/3 sets to warm up the movement then a final set to absolute muscular failure. Mike talks about stimulating the muscle to grow. You don't want to do 5 exercises multiple sets all to failure trust me. Remember it's the diet that makes the muscle grow, the gym just stimulates it. Just gotta switch the mentality
