Daniel I know what you mean. I overcame alcohol and drugs in 1983. Walked into a gym on my birthday in 1984 and never looked back. I am 66 years old and sober for 37 years . I am bigger and stronger now then when I was younger. I also suffer from depression and don't let it get in the way. I will be in the gym until I die. God gave us a gift to inspire others and on occasion I do. I am fairly lean at 250 LBS. The guys in the gym no I am something special because with that physique I have gray hair. LOL Don't ever forget this saying "Motivation is temporary" but "Discipline in permanent" God Bless you on your journey. I live in Boise, Idaho and train at Berserker Fitness.. Wayne

No one, even to this day will ever come close to Dorian Yates. No where near his physical condition. Especially his mind set. I look at him as the biggest role model ever. If I ever had a chance to sit with the man, work out with him, and have the same mind set, than my life would be complete.

You can tell by his face, that big and its so lean compared to competitors. His bodyfat was almost non existent

When the black and white pictures first emerged back in 93 Dorian said he was 10% body fat and weighed 295 and looked awesome! He could of stayed like that and still won , he didn't have the best physique but my god ,,,I had his pics all over my garage gym and everyone said exactly what Dorian was aiming for , when he wanted people to say when they saw him " what the fuck is that "

I love bodybuilding. I love to exercise my body and my brain. I’m not a professional athlete but I always watch videos about these guys. I confess that I learned a lot with them. I can say that everything I know they taught me in their videos. I love to watch Dorian, Arnold, Kevin Levrone, Jay Cutler videos. If I could meet them someday I’d be a very lucky man!

I'm a big Coleman fan Haney fan bodybuilding fan. By far head and shoulders above the rest this man, not only changed the face of bodybuilding, but his focus determination, self discipline showed the world what a made up mind can do. He won Olympia titles while enduring injuries he suffered in training, while preparing for them. No disrespect to anyone but looking at what he made his body fight through makes him the greatest Olympia ever.

I was a teen, 15 years old when I first trained at Dorians gym. At the time, Gap or Gant was the store above it on the high street. I wondered around for ages trying to find it. The machines were even back then Stone Age old school. It was the first gym I had used that had the forearm twist pin machine. It was brilliant. The old arches and brick walls made you feel like this shit is hardcore and the place to be.

On my workout playlist i have some of dorian motivational videos.Its incredible the raw and pure motivational spike,the videos put on you while being played far out loud thru the headphones.One thing i noticed more than one once is that some guys that are working out there at the same time,they see me going back and forward in the gym,sweat and tears,kicking iron ass and getting my ass kicked at the same time.They start pushing themselves harder too.Remarkable.Can you imagine if you were in the same gym as Dorian ? you would be contaminated by this sheer amount of raw determination and will power to push hard.What a force of nature.
