@@Karmen2010 this answer might be irrelevant now, but there is a picture online of Sharon, Nannie Tate and Doris on a couch, and Sharon looks about 7/8 so Doris would have been around 27/28 in the photo :-) she was pretty, big brown eyes, dimples...there is also one of her with Paul/ P.J Tate and they look a bit younger there

True...the murders were a drug deal gone bad. Tex Watson and Frykowski knew each other, Frykowski sold Watson some bad MDA, Watson inturn sold it to some bikers that got pissed at Watson. Watson then inficted the most damage on Frykowski who was stabbed 51 times, shot twice, and then bludgeoned. Sounds like a drug induced rage doesn't it?

Bill Nelson comes across as being quite heartless in this interview. But I think it possible that that Doris Tate agreed to the contents of the interview beforehand. She said somewhere else that there was nothing that could be described about what was done to her daughter that she already imagined and worse. Her main focus after finding out about Van Houten trying to get paroled was to keep the mass murderers in prison. She wanted the brutality of what happened out in public.

Exactly. She was at that house on a daily basis leading up to the killings. There is no way she missed the drugs, orgies, snuff killing, rituals, the making of a snuff film, rituals, Sebring and Frykowski abusing the teenage boys, blackmail filming and all the other sick sh_t her daughter and the others were doing. Manson HAD been there and met Sharon and she knows it. She knows she was doing drugs, but she lies. What else is she lying about? Her husband was military intelligence. They got all the evidence the LAPD had, including the blackmail tapes and the tape where Polanski had her r*ped by two men and they knew about him forcing her to put the dress on and slamming her face into the mirror, yet they go on to defend him for 40 years. Explain that. They let Polanski get their other daughter. Sharon was too d_mb to hide this stuff. Doris isn't blind. Everything you've heard is a lie. These things aren't disputed. I was also a bit astonished that he went into such detail and relistened.Doris Tate said several times "yes" and even emphasized it. This makes me feel like she is consenting to the way he leads the interview. Matter of fact, only through the gruesome details, the crime appears as horrible as it truly was, no trivialization there. And this is important, so that folks like Axl Rose don't sing Manson songs and wear Manson T shirts and feel obercool. You know what I mean? But I understand you.

I love Doris! She is a tiger mom. The thing that I find interesting is that if the Manson killers were so high and unable to control themselves...why did they make a conscience effort not to stab Sharon where the baby was located? It seems they chose to stab her only where the baby was not positioned. The baby died from suffocation slowly (about 20 minutes) inside Sharon's dead body, and not from any knife wounds. Also they debated whether to take the baby out of her ..I assume to save its life and take back to the Spahn ranch . Now if they were high and unable to control themselves...why would they care about the baby and give that some thought at all??? Bottom line for me is they were /are all natural born killers and dangerous with or without drugs. Evil people period.

Sharon Tate was the most beautiful woman ever . It’s heartbreaking to know she died so young . This idiot has no respect for Mrs Tate . He said he read all the books really , show some respect to this woman who lost her beautiful daughter and grandson . What if he had a daughter how would he fill . He has no shame he should be ashamed of himself for doing what he did . Death is never easy and Sharon deserved so much more. I pray her and her son are in heaven and at peace.

@fatcatsathat I think manson was pissed at melcher and send them there. He was bitter and jealous and since all of them knew the house, he didn't care that melcher didn't live there anymore. He just wanted some sort of payback!

I doubt the killers were on acid or anything else that night. Most people high like that would eff up a train wreck. They wouldn't be able to control and murder five people, cut the phone wires, cut the window screen, ask for money and credit cards, get rid of the bloody clothes and weapons etc.

Tex and Susan both acknowledged that they were on meth, which makes people more aggressive.

Who the hell is this interviewer??? Seems all he wants to do is keep throwing out questions about (only Sharon's) murder and stating the most graphic details to try to get some kind of reaction from Mrs. Tate, yet he shows absolutly no sensitivity or compassion in doing so.

Este tipo es un desgraciado, cómo le dice y le habla todas esas cosas sobre el asesinato de su hija, es una porquería....pareciera que estuviera disfrutando ver cómo sufre la Sra. Tate....
