He's signing players, getting his team fit and starting the pre-season schedule with a fixture against Kingstonian FC, a side managed by his friend Hayden Bird.
Yet despite being runaway leaders in the season that never happened, Dorking Wanderers are going to need to up their game if they're to have the same success this time out...

I went with my brother to a home game recently and loved it. Standing behind the coaches during the first half was enlightening, I kept wondering when Marc was going to get sent off! I only later discovered this channel which goes a long way to explain their success and motivation. Well done and cheers from Texas, we'll be back soon.

brilliant insight to amateur football. love the way it shows the different contrast in management styles between mark and barks.mark doesn't sugar coat anything,tells it exactly as it is.where as you can tell the school teacher in barks always praising and making excuses for his teams performance.yet again tremendous episode from b.o.a 👏👏👏👏👏

Been here since under 1,000 subscribers, this is arguably one of the best channels on youtube. I watch alot of sporting channels especially football, not only is the content amazing but even the editing. Dorking or now Holland, every episode is a joy to watch and I am fully immersed every single time I click on a new episode, this channel is going places.

Used to see Lee and Bobby training day in day out as a groundsman at K Sports, always seemed to have good attitudes and great training ethic. Being a keeper myself, Lee was great to watch. I think they'll slot in really well.

Just finished season 1, absolutely fascinating watch. Why hasn't Mark's achievement of ( at the time) 13 promotions in 20 seasons been acknowledged

I'm gonna guess guys who've played at this level possibly appreciate viewing White more. As a goalkeeper myself when White asked the GK if he'd play again after that off pass he did, I thought it was very tough to hear but maybe it's the wakeup call people need at that level. I guess we all play better under different styles It's interesting hearing ex NBA players touching on this topic as well

Is so well produced and edited, no idea how they are doing it for free unless they are maintaining footage rights for when Dorking makes professional league staus. At that point, this and the unused archive material will be worth a fortune.

If they have a cup run we might hit the jackpot! Other than that, we are doing this on a shoestring and relying on KZfaq, Patreon and TikTok income, which isn't great currently. Fortunately the Pro Direct sponsorship on some of the HSFC episodes has really helped us put more time in.

Quality content as usual. I know it’s non league but I hate an owner/manager, bc when things get tough they don’t “sack” themselves. Obviously he has been good with promotions etc but always feels weird to me. Plus if you have to curse every 5 mins it doesn’t reinforce your points makes you seem weak IMO.

Hi Lee, we alternate between the two clubs we follow. We will have four DW episodes and then be we will back with Holland for a month.

I've noticed throughout all teams and episodes you've done not alot shown on team tactics is this something the clubs ask you to leave out

Well spotted - the answer is yes and no. Marc is pretty relaxed about that stuff. It's fairly well-known how they play and teams in the NLS have scouts so they watch their opponents anyway, and his attitude tends to be that knowing their formation won't make it any easier to beat them. With Holland it is a bit different. There's no scouting at that level, so if we show Holland's tactics then they are suddenly out there for all to see, while no other club is. That all said, the tactics talks slow the episodes down. They're the easiest bits to cut when the episodes get too long (Marc's tactic bit it usually 25-30 minutes long) so we don't tend to fight to keep those bits in anyway!

Loving the editing, and content of this channel but Mr Manager there needs a reality check. When I compare his man management skills to Barks, they're poles apart. What is it? Small man syndrome? Effing and Jeffin at the players motivates them? The players may be there for their own journey but they shouldn't be scared of the gob at the front. Bully tactics don't really motivate folk. 🤷♂️

He’s taken that club to a record 12 promotions in 19 seasons, and they were clear at the top when the last season was cancelled. With that in mind, what do you mean by ‘progress’?

@@BunchOfAmateurs it’s pretty obvious isn’t it?? It’s a great record no doubt about it, But the next steps will be the hardest,so why not step aside and really go for it? From what I can see the club is ready to push on.
