Brilliant review, thank you so much. I've just gone and bought myself the Doro 740 from ebay, 5 mins before viewing this, and am totally reassured now that I made the right choice. Heheh, you have such a pleasant voice I may just have to send you my number when I get my 'extra loud' Doro phone, I could listen to your voice just repeatedly reading out the heating instructions off a can of Alphabetti Spaghetti , LOL! Cant stand these ''Er, um, errrr, um, 'mutter mutter' errrr ummm'' reviews! If me cognitive and physical abilities were sharp enough to decipher half of the 'reviews' that have made my eyes spin and my ears wag, I wouldn't be needing a *Doro-designed-for-people-who's-bibs-bobs-and-senses-don't-work-right*, would I? Going to listen to your review again now. Repeatedly. P.S I'm very bored, hence the waffling. PP.S I should get a reward from KZfaq for this video comment. PP.S Do you think I should be a comedienne? ('Comedienne' pronounced with a French type accent to add a bit more vogue and class, y'know) PPP.S If you think this is bad, you should see some of my Facebook status updates. Anyway, gotta go. Anne.M. Kenyon I made it to Asda, I know you will have been worried about that. Only just made it though, by the skin of me dentures. I will make a Doro review for you, it will go viral. And if it doesn't, you will feel as though you have got a virus after you have sat through it which is almost the same thing I'm sure. Please could I have a pink one? Sparkly pink? And dont forget your phone number or I wont be able to ring you and that would be a tragedy. Every time I upload something to Facebook (Like the sure-to-go-viral review) it will say 'Uploaded by little Annie on a sparkly pink Doro PhoneEasy 740'. Global publicity instantly. Just a thought, the very LOUD ringtones are for the benefit of the hard of hearing arn't they? Maybe you should do a sign-language review. All those poor cloth-eared people leaning over their computer speakers saying ''Eh? What did he say?''. How come your lyricist didn't think of that? Publicist. Scriptwriter. Whatever you call him or her. Kick them for deserving to be kicked. Doro phones ROCK! I'd love a pink one!

Hello there, my dad is partially sighted and can see very little and I am looking at getting him a Dora phone for him. My dad sees better black background with white writing as colours disorientate his vision. Would anyone know if the back ground settings can be changed on these phones? Regards Emily

Hi ! I'm partially sighted and I prefer black background too. I tested several Doro phones in a store and all the menus were in white writing and black background and used a pretty large font too. It seemed pretty comfortable (at least for me) Besides, from what I found out, those phones also contain a text-to-speech option which means a voice says out loud which number (or letter for SMS) you're entering. I'm planning to buy the Doro 6030 personnally. By testing thoses phones in the store I'm now completely reassured that the visibility of the screen is perfect for my needs. Maybe, if you have the possibility, you could go to a store like that with your father and he'll be able to judge by himself. Hope I helped at least a little. The store I went to is called Boulanger but I'm afraid they don't exist outside of France so that won't help you....
