If you really want your crystals to last for a month, use thick gel and fill in gaps with a tiny brush and gel topcoat. If you follow this video, your crystals won't last long at all & they'll catch on your hair and other stuff since crystals are flat and the nail surface is curved. That's why nail techs go in with a small brush and gel to fill in those gaps.

Ok so I did everything wrong today...noted lol 😂

I only use gel and gem gel, so I just put down my gem gel(don't cure), then put down a top coat on it, without curing it, then put down my gems on top of the wet gel and wet topcoat, then cure and it like shrink-wraps the gems down and works really well!

i do put a thin layer of clear coat on but not right over top of the gem, its just on the side of it so that i know that my thin hair wont tangle in it to make the gems fall off... so if anyone does this.. just a thing layer around the side or underneath part does help and if the gem is big then it wont make it cloudy but yes this was helpful ty :)

god....THANK YOU for this video! I am just starting to do my own nails and i couldnt figure out how to apply gems without it looking messy. My biggest problem was how to apply a tiny amount of glue when the tip on the Kiss nail glue bottle opening is HUGE. I couldnt, for the life of me, apply just one tiny dot. Toothpick. done. Your a lifesaver for those of us (me) who need common sense sometimes lol

Femi uses a layer of top coat (gel tho) over bling to really secure them and I've been following her advice to a T. My first polygel set is almost 3 weeks in and the top coat came off the gems after half a day. Haven't lost a single gem or piece of bling

Mines took weeks with few diff thick layers clear etc base and top combos & $1 Tree green tube Krazy Glue is the name and best I found, but be careful of a mess, etc accidents. I don't always do okay, but it lasts long a few applications for a few weeks I need or for other stuff. I did buy a $5 one that is big bottle for wall tile, etc project to fix pretty for my steaming art soon so it looks nice old makeshift sheetrock board they put on window ac in bedroom, which I should be facing ahead head on bedroom door, at the window ac, but old efficiency it is weird and I tried sleeping another way I am more scared of bugs coming in like b4 on my bed another day a palmetto again after ages with all the stuff around and such not place to put away stuff so in totes and bags, etc so imagine. I can't wait till I move. Sometime next yr I hope. It should ave been 1st yr or years ago. 8 too long-suffering birthday and holidays here, but oh well other good things though is why I do want to leaven for its entr4al easy when running late for bus, library, etc. I also need to pay low rent income though, so idk. She is no longer employable in her medical tech job and the income tax money ran out so her closet was not finished pieces outside and now her man is gone for good and so it is way wore to get stuff done then b4. Also, so my place as usual never got or may never get done 2 yrs now since she got her side done, plus her side was bad the sinkhole cracks and they cracked my side from the reinforcing. before it just had hairline ones never looked up or noticed, so idk if ok or not. Everyone gets fixed up even in motel demands by people in out and I was there long with Indian lady family taking care for owner uncle and they gave new ac to other, but my mother and I not.

I heard a tip One time that if you put Swarovski crystals in 100% acetone and it doesn’t dissolve that it was a real Swarovski crystal and not a rhinestone. So if you are buying from a new vendor then you know that your not being ripped off!

Using tc instead of an adhesive guarantees you'll lose those crystals. This is a what-not-to-do.

So I did everything wrong how can I take glue off of rhinestones that are already on the nails because the stones doesn’t have the shine to it no more help😫

To be fair: of course the gems will look cloudy if you add a mat topcoat, duh!? I have to add a layer on top or the gems will snag on my hair.

Why would you use JUST a top coat to apply rhinestones ?? That shit will automatically fall off. Use liquid gel and do really thin layer. Or use something with a point and just pick up a small glob and place it where you want the diamond is

I'm not gonna lie I have been doing my nails super long for over 3 years and everytime I put on rhinestones I use a small dot of super glue. I just find it sticks better.
