OMG haven't seen this one in years, nice choice for a watchalong it will be fun to revisit it with you guys 😊 For other comedies please watch *Welcome* starring Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and more, it's my favourite Indian comedy, I've seen many times and it's always as hilarious! Another one of my fav comedies is *Gol Maal* the 1979 one, I think Jaby would enjoy it too, it still feels really fresh nowadays.

Also dostana was one of the few movies a decade back that brought out the lgbtq+ narrative in the mainstream world in India here, even though you might get confused with the homophobia sometimes (in an ironical manner) I'm still so excited to know about your take on this one haha

@@Fe-ironman Dude as someone who is part of this community, it did do a lot of damage. Even today when a slightly gay innuendo is made on a TV show, Maa Da Laadla tune starts playing in the background as a joke. The movie tried to show so many stereotypes and didn't help the community it was showing in any way, only gave way for even more jokes.

definitely this movie was way ahead of time for Indian audience, Had it been released in todays times, would had been more acceptable in India as audience has become more matured. Back then even I was not very much impressed and didnt liked the concept but after so many years watching this, I am loving it

Watch this John And Abhishek's Duo First Superhit Cult film Dhoom1 which you saw in The Romantics. The impact created by that film was never repeated by any other parts and John is the best thief of all time in Dhoom series. Dhoom1 impacted India culturally.
