Valve should totally make a "Hero's Tavern" series that showcase the different Radiant and Dire heroes, similar to their "Meet the Team" videos for Team Fortress. It would take a long-ass time to finish, but I bet it would be awesome to watch. Especially if they add in their signature comedy (Imagining Tinker trying to modify the Gyrocopter with laser weaponry. Oh the possible shenanigans... XD)

I do hope we get it this year, but i'd rather get a new hero. Maybe just change the current map into the Winter map.

Well apparently the abilities and their respective levels are influenced by the number of essences of each color the egg had when it hatched, and as far as I can tell if the essences would grant more than three abilities you get any three of them more or less at random. The essences also give bonuses to your greevil like additional HP or move speed, so if you're thinking of hatching a certain egg you might want to add some extra essences just for the sake of the bonuses.

Well basically, you select a hero and one of your greevils at beginning, and you can switch between hero and greevil form. (the greevil has powers depending on it's color type). Then you must work with your team to defeat the "wild" greevils who stole the shopkeeper's stuff, and get the presents back from them. However, you must stop your enemy from doing the same. First one who gets 11 gifts back wins.

We already got a truckload of heroes. There's no harm if there's only a new one per month. There's also no harm if we don't get all of them in a zip. And it's common for Valve to do some seasonal events, which adds some variety to their games. I, for one, appreciate that.

I know, I saw in the data files, actually the skill set of the greevils is known too. But there was some warcraft mod that sounded like frostivus, so it wouldn't be odd. Also Im sure it will be a dire tide, only difference is that we do it with greevils

there will be more added to the game greevil eggs will be avaliable again. if the game type needs a greevil to play people who dont have them will probably be given a temporary naked greevil for the game type

Hard to tell what it's going to be, but that's part of the fun much like diretide was if you just jumped into it without reading an explanation. Fills the fun/different game mode quota until AR and DM are added in at least.

All we can say is a big tank you to valve and everyone who works with Dota2. The game is amazing already and it's still in beta with alot of improvement incoming. These holiday events we are getting are very much appreciated and it's that extra that makes this game so amazing. I cant wait for this to start and once again a big thank you from myself.

the only thing i hate in this mode is the hotkeys... it goes random and you have to find it first especially those who has a naked greevil, its a total pain.

The limited hero pool is to help new players not get overwhelmed by all the champions/heros/whatevers. If you think about it, key word being think, it's a good idea to do so.

There's been 2 completely new and amazing gamemodes in around 3 months with upcoming heroes and map-revisions/reskins all the time, i think that's his point.
