I thought this was easy but after trying a few of my placement matches with Zangief on Street fighter 6 I knew I was in for some pain. Will I be able to drive impact my way into plat or will I fall back into gold away from my master dream!?

Doto you might have to change your controls… you might have to be the Modern Zangeif Menace. One button SPD’s are wild and turns the character into a footsies master. He got me to gold just from my placement matches 😂

⁠@@drinkkvasJust learn how to deal with it. It works better than complaining about it. If you think it gives you an advantage, you can always use it 🤷‍♂️ Most Gief’s don’t run modern because the damage trade off isn’t worth it and he gets locked out of some pretty vital buttons for his pressure.

I love that Doto knows the path to Plat, then he has to be a bit more creative to reach Master. The separation from Plat to Master is pretty big. Then obviously above that is even harder lol.

Always remember that charge HP and standing LP are +2 which means they are tick throw setups and Gief headbutt is +4 so you can use it for mix too

I think it would be awesome if you teamed up with JM Crofts. You could do a series where he teaches you crazy fighting game stuff and you have to go do it online. Like for DBFZ, SF6, MvC3, etc. Even like a crossover with Rhyme and Seereax to find out which of you learned the technique the best, or combo or whatever. Just spitballing ideas. You are awesome and I appreciate the effort you put in your videos!

If you really wanna play gief 1. To do his special *CLASSIC* you can only buffer it and or when you land a jump 2. Clean inputs mean clean gameplay 3. You should lab what combos into what and you should lab your combos into spinning lariat 4. Keep in mind since he's gief you have armor already on your moves so you should save meter for when you combo and or you wanna really damage em with your grabs

Also for gief his running grab ( QCB KICK) is hard to get people with the higher the rank but it is armored Try not to whiff cuz whiffed grabbed= not a fun time for gief Sometimes its better to settle for s spin lariat than a whiffed grab
