Double Bail Cabochon Pendant Wire Wrap Tutorial

I am using round dead soft copper wire, 20 gauge for base wires and 26 for weaving. The length depends on the size of your stone.
For securing your cabochon with a "frame" use one of these tutorial but do 5 base wires:

where do you get these amazing Cabs??? I am in love with all of your work and tutorials!!! I am eternally grateful for your vids!!!

Thank you! I get them on ebay and etsy. It is a matter of luck, I have ordered probably hundreds of cabs and this one happened to turn out dual colored like it is, it was a pleasant surprise. Plus, it was quite expensive as purple labs are, I think often with labradorite you get what you paid for.

This is so gorgeous and yet I know the wire is harsh so how do you keep your fingernails so nice? Thank you for sharing this vid. I love all of your vids and am so grateful to understand this process.. I plan to get into wire when winter comes.

Thank you! They definitely get a dent in them from the wire and I have to file them down, wire really does destroy nail :)

Thank you! Xuron is the brand of the ones with the blue handles. Tweezer nose pliers and round nose pliers are the two I use from them.

Love this! Wondering if it would work as the centre of a bracelet with a bit of alteration? I've been looking for a bracelet tutorial for ages, any plans to make one? Thanks so much for all your amazing tutorials x

I have one bracelet tutorial, it is the tree of life one. This could definitely work as well though, with a smaller cab perhaps. You could attach chain to both sides, add clasps, and it would be a bracelet.

I love your tutorials so much! They have taught me so much about wire wrapping! I was just wondering if you were able to remember how big this stone was and the length of the base wires that you used were? I would love to try make this but I wouldn't have a clue as to how much wire I should cut!

I think stone was about 2.5 inches and base wires about 20 inches

where did your get the two color cabachon and are they smaller

It is same cabochon, just looks a different color when upside down. I think I got it on etsy or ebay, can't remember exactly as it was a long time ago. It is not small, it is quite large.
