True, but I'd see it more as proof that people who put in work to develop additional skills can then apply those to become better at activities which overlap with them. He's done short lessons before on his stretching and yoga (or something similar to it, I don't remember if it's actually yoga) routine and how he does that even before warming up, it's almost like he's always preparing to land a skateboard even when nowhere near one. TLDR: If you can't do the thing you love 24/7 then figure out what other skills feed into that thing and start doing those as well the rest of the time, so that you'll be even better at the thing when you do have time for it.

Back in the late 80's there was a small "Beginners" ramp at Mike McGill's skatepark in Carlsbad California. It had the small launch ramp on the high side and a "channel" spanning the entire width of the ramp. It was really hard to "drop in" normally lol. Double Axle was always the best.
