When we used to fly the pro wrestlers on Continental Airlines, they were always the nicest, most professional gentlemen of any of our passengers. I flew Andre the Giant. He sat in row 5 on our 727-200's. He was so big, we had to remove rows 3 and 4, in order to accommodate his size. All the wrestlers were required to fly with suit and tie. Always real gentleman to us all. We flew Ali and Foreman. They too, were always gentlemen to everyone. Never rude or snippy. Comparing the wrestlers to baseball players, other than Steve Garvey I never flew a baseball team that acted anything but pompous and entitled. The San Diego Padres were always the worst team to fly. So much so, I was reprimanded by our in-flight department, due to a curse I placed on the Padres in 1987. While inflight, the coaches were so rude, I walked up to two of them and said, "as long as I live, you'll (never) win a World Series. They complained and I was called in to remove the curse. I told my Supervisor to forget that. Ill never remove the curse. I was subsequently suspended for 2-weeks. To this date, the Curse remains in effect and I have a lot of years in front of me. Gotta Love them Curses.
