They performed in front of 125,000 people at Coachella with another 250M watching online and showed all their confidence and attitude and then as soon as they came off-stage they turned straight back into the shy humble people they are, all bursting into tears, (except for Jisoo of course) worrying about their performance. You will see if you get to Born Pink Memories (BPM) rolls.

I was online both weekends too and it was crazy. In addition to the new set that later served for the rest of the world tour, they reformed the music of all the songs, making them even more attractive. They reformed all the choreographies, with changes as great as in this song and in Typa Girl, and they added a new group of dancers who also accompanied them for the rest of the tour. The investment in this performance was enormous but they paid for it well with the rest of the tour.

I'm v. impressed by your accurate tracing and good understanding of BlackPink's amazing growth, progression and sentiment/situation. I'm also impressed by your ability to develop an understanding and appreciation of Kpop generally in such a short time. I've watched this video 8 or 9 times so far because I am getting a big kick out of watching the expressions on your faces...no need for words to let us know how you feel about what you're seeing. It may be important also to remember that for most of the last year these ladies have been out on the road...huge multi-city world tour, Coachella, a couple of other special concerts in England and France...no new music to speak of as a result, but grown tremendously as live performers taking responsibility for "bringing it" night after night.

Love that you did both the line distribution video and the live video🔥 if you have the time to do this with other songs from all kinds of artists that’d be awesome. Understandable if not. Could always mix it up and perhaps do a music video and a line distribution video, or music video and live video, or do it like this! The line distribution videos are really good because it helps you absorb the song and lyrics a bit more, and it helps to ensure you don’t miss when one member does adlibs, or in the case of other groups like Red Velvet, you won’t miss when they layer their vocals

Great reaction as always. This was definitely the point they realised how amazing they are and started being themselves and going past the normal kpop “style” I guess you could say. Look’s like that’s where you are headed but their song “tally” while being a slower song they push it even further. Of course they aren’t as good, but rosé and Jisoo can rap surprisingly well. Plenty of short clips of them rapping in rehearsals and Jisoo has done it when Jennie went off stage sick. But they are all spread out. If anyone has a vid showing a bunch of them together I’d love a link.

Please to check up on Blackpink single documentary and you probably wont see all this on Blackpink light up the sky. "The Album" was, indeed, BP announcing that they were done with the haters and that they were going to just do what they do, and they have done just that. The best way to shut up critics/haters is to succeed, and BP has continued to set records and accomplish things that no other girl group has ever accomplished before. This album was the groundbreaking for the haters cemetery. ;) Adding that, from here on out, the lyrics are far more important, since they deal with more serious issues, so Lyric videos for songs that don't have subtitles are a good idea.

Not really a fan of them but good for them for being at the right place at the right time and capitalizing their fame in this social media/tiktok/spotify era along with BTS and gathering millions of fans worldwide. Their edgy/angst and intense, aggressive style and stage gimmicks really cater to the US crowd, but I can say not so much in Korea as they're really not that recognized as one of the beloved groups in there compared to others. Don't get me wrong, they're very talented and I'm happy for them, but when it comes to talent, I've seen better from the likes of Red Velvet, TWICE, and GFRIEND (and I've been listening to Kpop for over a decade). They just didn't have the same fan following, but talent wise, they certainly up there, if not above BP.
