I did something like this years ago for a wedding. I used fine lace on the last layer of the dress to give it the added "lift" and dimension. It was hand delivered at the wedding with her gift. Love this idea as well. I like the colors. Love the way you got the first layer with the napkin.

The perfect stamp for the project! A gorgeous card. I’m imagining it as a wedding card, with the stamp embossed with a pearl embossing powder, then the dress coloured with a pearl watercolour or even Wink of Stella. Or both!

Beautiful Natasha! And yes, I do believe that dress stamp is a must, gorgeous. Love the layering idea. I don’t think anything more needed, but it does depend on who the receiver is. Sometimes I’ll use a splattering of sticklers.

Happy New Year Tasha! I love the texture layer of the serviette (I collect them & have LOTS). I also love that stencil, the Dress stamp & the colours you chose! A winner all 'round! I have tiny coat hangers I could use. The final "look" is of a beautiful gown, lying on fabric! I can imagine a train, headpiece & a WEDDING Card! So many options from your one idea! TFS!❤️🙏🥰🏆

That is stunning. I often wonder about throwing away the backing off the serviettes. So wasteful. Thank you for showing us how to use it. Also 3 layers. WOW looks great xx

I use cardboard from groceries or other products for dimension a lot. I like the slight shadows it creates but I can still mail it. Love using my garbage to fill in holes in the base layers also (because I cut a circle or something out of the base card stock then stacked the rest of the layers over the hole). So people can still write on the inside, both sides, without the pen feeling the hole under the front cover.

Ive been using a silicone hot glue gun mat for ink smooshing to blending and stencilling. Cheap and cheerful (Dollar store purchase) and really nice that it grips the paper!

Wow! I don't often use layers like this, but this card is so effective! I love it. It really works with the ruffle bit at the back/ bottom too. I would try some glossy accents on the top layer. That would be great too -though without is lovely. I love the purple & blue colours too. Thankyou Natasha! 😁👑

I think the embossing on the dress gives it enough glossiness. If it was all glossy, it would look like it was made from plastic. But I would love that napkin technique used on the layers to show a “fabric” look to the dress! I adore the colors you picked out for this! And the background smooshing immediately made me think..marble with a vein of red agate running throughout it!! Stunning card!!😍😍😍

Gorgeous!! I didn’t quite understand in the earlier steps of the dress stamping where this card was going but wow!!! I think the embossing adds just the right amount of gloss but I doubt I would have disliked additional gloss or a few gems, so either way is my vote. Love the various techniques you used for all parts of this card 🙂

Lovely card. Might be fun to add some swooshes of glitter to the dress as well as perhaps some tiny gems on some of the dark spots, rather than any Glossy Accents to make it a bit more Cinderella-y.

Hello Natasha, this is so pretty and clever. I don’t think it needs glossy accents. It is nice and shiny now. I find that the lining parts of a napkin are great to use as facial tissue. Very soft on the nose. LOL

Neat!! Thought maybe you were going to put an extra piece of dimension tape in the middle of the top layer to make it stand out - kind of rounded. Hope that makes sense.

Voting NO to glossy accents! It would totally demolish the shine of the heat embossed details. I’m amazed by how this turned out… I was just sure that you were going to post a total failure. I was not loving the background or the stamp, but it seems you always have a better vision than I am capable of seeing! Thanks for always inspiring me.
