Purchased this to replace a guide pulley kzfaq.infoUgkxO9seYZjlnuP5UvMkb7osQW3WxPVeSnPk on our John Deere x304 snowblower. As I stated in the title, it is just about perfect. The stock pulley has a spacer at the bottom. I used four washers to emulate said spacer, and it works perfectly now. Great product, and great price especially if compared to typical JD prices.

Cool swap. On my mower, there's a belt retainer round bar near each side of the 3.5" engine drive pulley that will have to be removed so a 5.5" pulley will fit. Did you modify and replace these belt retainer bars, or just run without them? I'm wondering how necessary they are or if I'll be dropping a belt without them...

Would it be close to that fast if i just did the front pulley flip? i have the same exact mower and don't want to go to tractor supply a million times. What size belt would you recommend or would i be able to use the old one? tia
@chud327
@chud327 3 жыл бұрын
Front pulley flip make it about twice as fast as stock. I have done a bunch but always get the belt length wrong. You could watch some of my pulley flip videos for an idea, I just take the whole mower to tractor supply when I need a belt.

@@mickeyjames8361 I have never swapped pulley on an auto, I bet it would help, but might spin too fast. If you do it let me know how it turns out

U make great videos and I wish u had more likes and subscribers. Keep up the good work and just so u know I also have a lawn mower that has a striped bolt in the valves so the valve won’t stay and I can’t find a engine head to replace it so now I have nothing.

Bud bud bud...... I like the idea, but that’s not good enough for me to watch😂, my tracotr is similar to yours it’s a craftsman LTS2000, I have the stock 5 inch in the front and I put a 2 inch in the back, then got some belts and a belt guard, she goes 30 mph😂😂😂😂😂, try that 😂? U will go through a lot of belts😂😂,
@chud327
@chud327 4 жыл бұрын
I love the sound of all that, but I worry that the 2 inch would slip too much when I go into the mud. I know my mowers with 3.5 inch pulleys sure love to slip when wet. I will save the 2 inch trick for when I make a racing mower. thanks for trying to watch.
