I think the only real preconceptions I have about japanese music are that it's gonna be different and great, which is why I love it so much 😉👍 (I mean music taste differs from person to person, but I have yet to find a 'bad' japanese band 😂) And thank you for their names! I'll give my best to remember them correctly 🤪😅

Thank you for the links! I'm not sure what lineup that very first song I heard a while ago was, can't remember any dancers in that. I think I will stay in this time/album for now so I don't get too confused 😅 The quality of this one was still enjoyable imo. As long as the actual recording was done right (not through a phone mic 😅) it can be lower quality and still sound ok 👍

@@react-o-mat The first performance you saw was from 2018. Performer #1 (Mai - Blue) was still with the band, but off-stage for that song. Performer #3 (Nenne - Orange) left before 2018 with hearing problems - you'll see her playing keyboards in live versions of track 5 and 6 if you check those out. The major changes to line up occurred in 2019, so after any videos you've seen.

For me it's not a problem either, because I will listen to the whole album anyway, but I just imagine if I would have only listened to the title track on my own first, I'm not sure if I would have been excited to check out more 🤔 But well, there are probably many people who like that track a lot too 😉

@@react-o-mat I am sorry if you consider that a spoiler, I didn't think about that. I can't think of a track off of this album that has a live version where they do this, but there might be one where they do. I am not as familiar with their earlier stuff than some other fans are, I am still relatively new to them (2 years or so now).

@@MaartenT The only one I can think of from this album is on Sekira Liar, the latest version that the band released a couple of months ago, but that's the current line up. Of course there are plenty of examples we could suggest once this album is finished if our reactor friend would like to continue the journey :)

Do you pronounce the 'O' 2 times then? Like 'Jo Oshiki' or is it somehow connected?

@@react-o-mat In normal pronunciation, OU is just a long O. In songs, OU is often distributed as two O's on two notes.

@@react-o-mat There are a couple of ways to transcribe Japanese into Romanji (Western letters). ou for a long o is one, an other one is ō like in Kamami Tōno (Band-Maid's Kanami). There are some other differences as well like du and zu for づ or ヅ for example, that's because they sound like "dzu" in Japanese. I forgot which one is the version the Japanese usually use, but I know it's slightly different from what a lot of Westerners use (which can be annoying). The Japanese transcribe a lot of English words. Usually just by how they say them, but you can obviously write them out as well like they did for "destroyer" (full title of the track is 常識デストロイヤー). The デストロイヤー part is destroyer in katakana, which is typically used for foreign words, if you would put that to romanji it would be desutoroiyaa.
