hey guys! I wanted to share with you all what my husband surprised me with for our 12th wedding anniversary! These are items from my wishlist that I have been lucky enough to check off! One of them also came with an incredible customer experience while the other, well... not so much. As I share my Cartier Unboxing, I also wanted to let you all know about my customer experience with Cartier after purchasing the piece I got. I also wanted to share what may be my last Louis Vuitton Unboxing...?!?? I am pretty content with the collection of Louis Vuitton handbags that I have been able to add to my collection and think this one was the missing puzzle piece.

I wouldn't want to pay full price and unknowingly buy something that was already worn. I think it reinforces Cartier's excellent reputation.

Lovely video! In relation to the comment made by Cartier, think of it like this, if you drive a large car to another country, and on the way, you are driving though rough roads and have lots of bumps on the road (to no fault of your own), which causes a small scratch on the side of the car, and you decide that you want to return the car (putting aside the fact that it wasn't the right fit for you and your partner and you instead wanted a sedan), the dealer will tell you that your have worn out the car, and they can no longer sell it to anyone else because the value of it has been diminished and that it'll cost the company to fix the scratch. The same can apply to the ring. It's a big-box jewellery piece yes, but to Cartier, it is 'extremely worn' to the point that they cannot exchange the ring and sell it to someone else. even from the video, scratches on the flat screw head are visible, so of course the next person who rolls along and purchases the ring will see the scratches. Hope that helps to provide the context for the 'extremely worn' comment, not being rude, just providing some context from the POV of someone who works in fine jewellery :). as a tip as well, you can buy a little rubber ring size adjuster for the ring from amazon, they are little twisty rubber pieces that can make slight big rings fit better.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. I understand your POV but I do think "extremely worn" was a bit harsh! LOL As I said they are looking at things through a magnifying glass, as a consumer I don't think we inspect it that way & that might have totally been my mistake too! In the end it was a complete fail thankfully. Thank you for the recommendation about the rubber ring sizers I actually just ordered them 🤗 It does make the ring at least not move from side to side 👍🏼

I totally guessed it wrong! I thought you had gotten the Rosalie wallet!😂 But I’m super happy you finally have the Alma in your collection! She is super cute and fits perfectly with your style. Also, I’m disappointed at Cartier for this situation as well. We definitely expect better costumers service when buying luxury items. Love the Alma bb in Ébène. I have the Alma PM in ébène and love it! I also have the bb in épi Magnolia and love it too! I totally agree with you about the Cartier experience….they need to figure out a much better solution. Love the ring though, what a special treasure and memory to have for years to come.❤ Happy Anniversary!

I think u could stack it. Where a band type ring and wear the juc on top of it. This will help make it fit better.

Glad to see you had a great trip. When I was shopping in Cancun I remember trying on the nail ring and the SA tells me ‘este anillo es molestoso’. Plus it is hard when your hands are swollen because it is such a hot and humid climate. They couldn’t size it down a little bit? When flew back we stopped in Houston and left the rings so they could engrave the items I bought

Hi, def agree that it is "molestoso" I dont think there is a "perfect" size to go with, the Cartier boutique did mention that they cannot resize it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Congrats on your pieces! ❤️

@@mrsleyva uggh pues que chihuahua that they won’t resize. It’s a gold band you would have thought they could. Maybe try buying those little plastic ring guards to help stabilize it. At least it will help you not worry of it falling off.

Wonderful video. I’m sorry for your experience at Cartier. I had the same experience not with customer service but the ring itself which is why I decided to get the love ring instead. And yes I agree Cartier pieces get scratched so horribly the moment you wear them… so the SA’s comment doesn’t even surprise me. And yes I agree for the money we pay luxury should be MORE lux… better customer service, better warranties just better experiences overall. However I’m afraid that it may not change because we the consumers allow it as we continue to purchase even with the rising prices and lack of service from these brands. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with you, I like the alma bb with no strap. I find it too thin. I treat my alba bb epi leather in black as a top handle. Very good to take a break from LV. Cant wait for you outfit inspirations!

Yes Cartier is very strict with a worn item... I didn't wear mine out just to be sure .. my Juste en clou or my love ring.. however one thing my CA told me is that the Juste en clou ring is not to be worn straight up and down.. turn it some where the nail is slightly to the side and it should be good

I had a horrible experience with Hermes. I got an over $300 tea cup (I collect them) and it arrived chipped. Within minutes of receiving the package I contacted them, emailed pictures and their answer was that I probably broke it myself and that they would not be replacing it. I’ve wanted some pieces from Hermes and that experience has literally stopped me.

Had a smiliar experience purchasing cartier at narita airport. It was my first cartier piece and didn't do my research prior. The SA at narita airport sold me a JUC bracelet that's too large for my wrist. They had a no exchange or return policy and said I ultimately decided to buy the piece so it was the decision I made therefore they will not make an exception. Fortunately I was able to exchange it for a size down back in the US and it was a case to case basis (they had to verify the purchase and that the item has not be used). They did charge me local tax during the exchange and I was more than happy to pay for it than to be stuck with a bracelet that's too large in size. My local SA commented that the SA abroad probably just wanted to make a buck therefore didn't discourage me from buying even when they didn't have my size in stock. Please be aware buying luxury items abroad. Always do your research prior. I certainly learned my lesson.

Whenever you buy any Luxury items abroad, you can’t return or exchange them at another country, same with Chanel, Louis, Cartier etc. Sorry they didn’t tell you that when you bought it. I must say, I am also in Miami and I do buy luxury in here and I have never ever (thank god 😅🙏🏻) received a floor sample or a try out jewelry piece from Cartier or other jewelry houses. I am not saying that you are lying, pls don’t take my comment the wrong way, but yes the ring does look worn and has a little nick on the head if you zoom in, maybe they did give you a sample piece?😊 nonetheless, the ring is beautiful and during summer your fingers get a little swollen, maybe will fit better? 😅

When I was at the store they did say they couldn't resize it 😞 Im not sure if a jeweler would be able to do something about it. I think I might order a ring sizer in Amazon. Ill keep you guys posted if I do 🙂

If you had gone to the UK Cartier store where you purchased the ring immediately after discovering that it was a bit too big, you would have had a better outcome. There wouldn't have been the issue of a different sales tax and you wouldn't have had the ring in your possession for days. I personally would not want to buy an expensive piece of jewellery that was already worn by someone and returned even if there was very little sign of wear. I think that when Cartier made their decision on whether to take the ring back, they were also thinking of other customers. I don't mean to be mean and I'm saying this as someone who bought a Cartier watch which cost over $10K and found the style to be too heavy/chunky after wearing it for one day. I would never expect them to take it back and dump it on someone else. It was my mistake, not their's.

Hi, I totally understand your perspective too. But then why offer a return policy? I know the mistake was def mine for buying at an airport after an 8 hour flight, I realized it was too big two days after I had purchased it once my swelling went down. & I wouldnt have minded even paying extra tax as long as I was able to get the right size & There couldnt have been much wear on it if the manager had to use a magnifying glass to see it. I'm sorry your watch didnt work out for you, but again if you try something & you want to return it a few days after because you've realized its too heavy, I personally think that should be totally ok specially for such a 'high end' brand & with a piece with that price point. Again, just my opinion & I am not expressing it with any attitude. I know comments can sometimes be misinterpreted. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts also 🙂

Thank you my friend! Def go into your local store when its not too warm so you're not swollen at all. The sizing is really tricky to get right I think
