it's beyond obvious that this movie is a wink to typical buddy films. it keeps much of the same comedy but cranks everything to 2000% for even more comedic effect. the movie is also extremely self-aware, hinting that the two main characters are really making fun of each other as actors. I'm on team martin on this one

I see where Korey is coming from with the score, now I haven't seen the movie so maybe it is indeed more obvious, but the particular scene Korey shows where it's that goofy music playing over them beating each other up, like you use that for something a little more whacky or farcical than what you're seeing implies (which to me is a comedy that seems more indebted to realism). Korey gets a bad rep for stating his opinion the way he does, like the language seems a little harsh with each other sometimes but I do think it was a good discussion

I think we need to get use to this shit. Actors we consider "A-List", are not having to work harder for their money. When downloading music began, mega superstar singers had to become actors and entrepreneur's in makeup or some shit. It's the way of the theater, so they have to do 4 movies when they use to only need 1 great one.

I thought it was great. First half was not good but then it's like they improved on everything. The action after the first half was done very well and it was exhilarating. Fantastic shots and stunts and good choreography. There's one action scene that was great on all accounts. The comedy was the weak part for me but after the first half, it got to me and I liked it but still not great. It was a fun time at the movies and I really enjoyed it. I really liked it and everyone was great. Elodie Yung was probably the best surprise and standout cause she was badass and great and Salma Hayek was a surprise too. Didn't know she was in it as well as Elodie Yung but Salma was great too. And there was some emotional stuff in it that I didn't expect though and I appreciated that and liked it. They made the main characters more than just "action people with no characterization". But overall it was just a pure action/comedy thrill-ride that was fun And SPOILERS for one thing: a lot of flashbacks haha. It was like " Well, you see *flashback*" haha. But although they could have made a better use of emotion and backstory than just flashbacks all the time, I actually appreciated those as well but yeah, not gonna deny that there were a lot haha

I thought the action was great. That chase scene in Amsterdam was fucking great. Great stunts and shots, direction, everything. And yes, that Ryan Reynolds scene was awesome too

I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned how horrendously over exposed a lot of the scenes were. I literally thought they had sliced two frames together at points.
