It is so funny how farmers hate being away form the farm! My late father also hated going on any vacation. He no sooner arrived and he began fretting!!! As we would say over here in Ireland "You can take the farmer out of the farm but you can't take the farm out of the farmer!"

My mom is from San Diego. My dad is from fairmount Minnesota. When my dad was in the navy stationed on San Diego he met my mom. Got married in San Diego. They moved to Minnesota and i was borned in fairmount MN. Ive been to San Diego many times to visit grandma and uncle.

Dougo they call that lane splitting. I think is kinda crazy. Tulips were beautiful but i am Dutch. I was in Rochester that same crazy time and panic took over. I was listed for a kidney transplant. I just got the kidney this January. Great trip guy's and awesome car. Plumb Crazy is my favorite color.

16:50 I love San Diego. Our oldest daughter was in the Navy. Her first assignment was at Miramar. When it is wasl a naval air station. Her hangar was right next to the Top Gun hangar. it then became a Marine air station. She got married to a Marine and then transfered to North Island. Her daughter was born in Balboa Naval Hospital. She is now .Navy Cropman for the green side(Marines). This was right after the first Top Gun movie. My daughter still loves the F 14s. Was glad to see one in the second.movie. Hope you two are having a great time.

Spent 3-1/2 years stationed in San Diego out of high school aboard a US Navy destroyer. Loved that town, but it has grown tremendously since then! I had a motorcycle back then and loved being able to run between the car lanes during rush hour when traffic was stop and go for miles.

You said Farmer Johns. There is a pork plant in LA that's called Farmer Johns. In the early 70's I hauled live hogs from Sioux Falls and Omaha out there. I understand they are still doing that. Hust thought that might interest you. Love all your videos and look forward to each new one.

I spent time on in San Diego when serving the Navy in 1983. Back then Mexico was absolutely off limits for Sailors. Coronado is a beautiful place but I am like Doug. Take me.back to the farm. :)

Glad you visited San Diego. You noticed so many things I take for granted. But I guess that’s why I watch your channels showing life on the farm.

We left very rainy Utah the first week in February and got to a very rainy San Diego. My feelings about urban areas pretty much mirror Doug. (It was the trip down there that we started utilizing the talking point cards. At one point you guys were talking about an RV. We bought a small class c motor home on a Ford F-450 chassis several years ago. It is awesome for two people. My wife likes to drive it as much as I do . If you use your imagination it can park in a normal parking space. We don’t have five minutes set up when we stop for the night. It was expensive enough but not like most of them. Ours does not have enough miles on it yet but very fun to travel in, even if just out to the mountains for the night. Also from the man perspective don’t need to be too sociable with the outside world then. Just my .02…. Thank you for your Sunday devotional.

I was born at the San Diego Naval Hospital. My Dad was stationed there on aircraft carriers. Mom spent time there in WW2 as a Navy WAVE fixing flying boat submarine patrol aircraft.
