The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

Sick fold? $8k bet, 3x 3-bet to $25k, at these stakes with donkey tito and that super connected flop. Maybe not a snap fold but definitely a fold. If you think bottom 2 pair is good there and you’re going broke? Yikes man

2 Pair is a good hand, but, on a straighty/flushy board it just means you missed getting a straight or flush yourself. Multi-handed.... DANGER. This is a major leak I identified in my own game. Just a bit later, you see tesla with 2 pair getting done by trip aces. That's avoidable too, aces is obviously in balla's range and he bet with one ace, then shoves with a 2nd ace. Something you always have to think about is what do you do if you bet and get raised? If your happy to all in, by all means bet. If your happy to fold, you could bet on some boards, especially if you think it doesn't favour your opponents range. If your not sure though, well, you should probably check and fold to a big bet. Naturally, sometimes they will rep the strongest hand, a hand you might have and you get a big pot. It's ok to play small pots some times.

That was the only hand on the video I actually found particularly interesting. The rest were guys either blasting off cuz they have too much money or pretty standard hands. (Top two vs. combo draw, etc.) Sick read on Balla’s part, gutsy bluff attempt by Tito. He knew he was gonna have to go for it if he called turn and missed, and he did.

It's multi-way, plus he wasn't suited. And the action indicated that he probably was up against two hands with lots of equity at minimum, even if he was somehow still ahead. And he could well have been against the made straight _and_ a better two pair. Hell, _I'd_ have made that fold and not lost much sleep over it.

Social media guy: for reference, you should have led with the Brown Balla vs. Tito hand with a title like “can he find the Hero Call?” Way more interesting of a hand, not a misleading title, actually drums up interest in the video. It was a sick read on Brown Balla’s part to put Tito on his exact hand and make the call. I continue to be sorely disappointed by whoever runs this KZfaq account.
