Honestly, I miss the breakdown of each category in the Doug Score. It was interesting to see WHY Doug gave each score.
@lego4virgo
@lego4virgo 2 жыл бұрын
I think the issue with the score is that in some instances, things like weekend fun and a few others, probably didn't make much sense since that's not the intended reason for a specific car's existence.
@parkerhill9725

Yeah but I wish he did it in strict reference to a category, like acceleration, styling, pricing and so on should be scored relative to the class of car they belong to.

Yeah...that is true but I think he could just have different scoring tables for different vehicle types, and then walk through each category like before. I suspect another reason he stopped was to save time per video. But I agree it would be nice to have it back

@@parkerhill9725 Yeah, I think if you do it relative to that car's specific category, that could possibly work. It's funny to score a base Kia Optima as low because it doesn't have the same 'fun appeal' as a Kia Stinger, when both cars are designed for specific purposes.

One of the things I love about Ford is that they usually do think about just about everything their customers could want in their vehicles. They always deliver, and with the revived Bronco's I've been pretty much nothing but impressed. Hope to own one some day, would prefer a Bronco over a F150!

I'm really glad they toned down the graphics on the Bronco Raptor. I have a 2017 150 Raptor with no side vinyls and no tailgate plate and I think it looks super clean, but these are much more subtle than the optional graphics/badging on the truck and still look nice without being too over the top. I could see myself swapping the 150 for a Bronco Raptor down the line once my boys are out of car seats, but for now the ample space in the back of the cab is a godsend

The tucked in exhaust pipes is well thought out for those of us who offroad where there's rocks and gullies. Drive down the gully and as you start the clime on the other side, the rear of the vehicle can hit the rocks you just went down. Even the tucked in exhaust pipe on my Wrangler is often getting squished. I bring my crow bar to pull it back open. Ford thought this out quite well for those who don't buy this thing to just mall crawl.

Where did you get that information? Here's all I found from Car and Driver website I have pasted the article below: NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation is looking into complaints that owners' 2021 Ford Bronco SUVs suddenly stopped running and would not restart. The cause is believed to be a possible valve defect in the 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, which is standard on the 2021 Bronco Wildtrak and optional on most other models. The safety agency received three separate petitions in March 2022 requesting the investigation, which could lead to a recall if the results warrant one. The ultra-popular Ford Bronco is now being investigated for a possible recall after 32 owners complained that their 2021 model SUVs stopped running suddenly and would not restart. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Office of Defects Investigation is currently at the stage of reviewing three separate petitions filed in March asking for an investigation into the issue. told Car and Driver in a statement: "We are aware of a select number of engines with this concern and we are investigating. If any customers are experiencing issues, they will be covered under the vehicle's five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. We will cooperate with the NHTSA as we always do." NHTSA says 25,538 Broncos are potentially affected, although there is no recall on the horizon at this point. Owners can check the NHTSA recalls site to see if their vehicle becomes subject to a recall. I read this as NO RECALL. So ...what are you talking about? Probably just a bunch of pissed off Jeep lovers complaining or trying to disparage Ford in my opinion.

Honestly the 392 Wrangler would be my pick, mainly because it's just got more stuff you can do with it. The V8 is just icing on the cake. Nevermind the Bronco is super rare (especially this one) to just find in the dealership, and the infamous Bronco markups. The Jeep is super expensive as well, just not that expensive.

392 actually has a higher base MSRP. Think again
@ViperPilot16
@ViperPilot16 Жыл бұрын
@@02hreblue30 While that is true, the 392 also has more support in general being a Wrangler. Literally the most aftermarket parts you could think of, and it is also smaller so it can get into more places. The one thing it's missing is a stick shift option. Otherwise you've still got the much cheaper 4XE to think about as well, or just a Rubicon with a V6. The engine is worth the extra money, why do you think people pay 10K plus for diesels in the new HD trucks? Edit: I'm pretty sure my jab at the price there at the end was pointed at dealership markups which is a problem for both just even more so for the Bronco.

@@Johnny-xj5qu have you driven with one of those or used them long term? You don't understand how you expect to look in the mirror and adjust your head position or angle to see more - with a screen you get one static view and that's is. @@D3thM3tal It’s not even a brake light. The light is just the marker light. Doug left out that vehicles over 80 inches wide need marker lights but do not need a 3rd brake light. With dealer markups, this vehicle is right around $100,000. Right off the bat, it's not economically viable for 95%+ of Americans. It's too expensive to consider using it for it's intended purposes, outdoors, offroading, camping. And even if you want to use it as that, it lacks the reliability, control and low end torque capabilities of a naturally aspirated V8 and manual trans. A late 1960s Bronco is just as capable and that was like 6 months salary of an average joe when it came out.
